The off sales near my house recently added this, why tf would I tip when you're grabbing a 6 pack that's 2 steps away from the window? Gtfo with that shit. Tipping is for quality service in a sit down restaurant or for a delivery driver bringing me something cause I'm too lazy or drunk to do it myself.
Even then, tipping should be abolished and business owners should simply pay a proper fuckin wage instead of using customers to subsidize their profits.
The worst are the systems that play a jeopardy-esque jingle while it's waiting.

It's been a while for me since I felt like that, but I'm happy those days are behind me. May they never come back.
I remember making sure to get gas after groceries since the pumps near me would only preauthorize a dollar, letting me effectively extend my credit limit by just a few dollars enough to scrape by yet again.
