Those bike lane downtown is the worst. Maybe they'll build a proper one now that they are re-doing Kam Lake.

I'm from another province, but would love to visit Yellowknife some day! Any recommendations as to when is the best time to visit?

The summer and winter are both beautiful times for very different reasons! Yes winter is cold but it's also beautiful and is really a wonderful way to see Yellowknife with the aurora and warm food indoors. Plus in March there is a winter festival and a snow castle on the frozen lake. Ice fishing and dog sledding. While in summer you have massive pristine wild lakes with massive fish, amazing hiking and summer festivals. Come whenever!
