~~⚠️ De-clickbait-ify the youtube titles or your post will be removed!~~

~~Floatplane titles are perfectly fine.~~

~~LTT/LMG community. Brought to you by ******... Actually, no, not this time. This time it's brought to you by Lemmy, the open communities and free and open source software!~~

~~If you post videos from Youtube/LTT, please please un-clickbait the titles. (You can use the title from https://nitter.net/LTTtranslator/ but it doesn't seem to have been updated in quite some while...)~~

I'm still annoyed how this is made. i always assumed it just split it into two base100 connections. the fact that they were too cheap to do even that is... just stupid.

thats why i listed what the product is to begin with, followed by the actual video name. It has a de-clickbaited title, followed by the actual name for searchability!

Also, this is one of the less clickbait titles, since there is no way that the product would work, and then it doesn't.

Bonkers.

srsly, a 5 port Gbe switch here is $17+tax.

Yea, even if it worked, the only advantage is that it would be passive.

It really is a (failed) solution looking for a problem.

Yea, the "turn one of the devices off" requirement was so weird ... Fortunately I always simply bought a gbit network switch, their main disadvantage is that they require electricity and in most homes you don't have a setup for power over Ethernet.
