this is the second script to do this. and it seems @ernest has heard our cries for this as an option :) hopefully it can become a standard feature of kbin soonish.

ah oops - didn't know I was reinventing the wheel
I feel the volume of users and major actual issues plaguing the devs means they for the moment don't care about trivial stuff like this
yup. there's no harm in having a second script lol. the one I'm using currently has collapseable comments as well, though the instance name thing seems to not work on the microblog section of the site.
and yes there's a lot on the admin's to-do right now. poor guy probably wasn't prepped for the influx of traffic lol
can you linke me to the second one ?
I added a link to it in my post body as an edit
Seems to be inconsistent: https://i.imgur.com/v7oimVo.png (also does not show the instance name of the communities)
The script from the other user does not show the domains of users outside of threads unfortunately, just the communities.
If a user is from kbin. Social the label isn't going to say kbinsocial - it just labels foreigners
Is this only for kbin? Not for Lemmy?
Ok - I've made the same for Beehaw ~

Oh that works great! Thank you!
Actually, it only seems to work in the inbox. Not on comments pages for some reason?
Yeah - I noticed something was off, I'll keep checking ~
Really awesome enhancement though. Will definitely help people a lot.
It should be fixed now ~
This specific script is for kbin only - I thought it was already built in on beehaw, but I just checked and it doesn't say where ppl are from - I'll try make a new version for beehaw / lemmy
