Which also didn’t actually happen.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago

It was offside the whole time. Whoever it was doing the broadcast misinterpreted “checking interference” as “checking foul”.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago

They certainly did! It’s all corruption under the Scottish sky

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago

It wasn't, it is a combination of people a) being very emotional after a major decision b) people not knowing the rules and c) a signal mistake from the ref, even though I am not sure about that since I didn't see the refs arm after the decision was made.

How does it feel to be humbled and humiliate by your parents (Ireland and England) and completely outperformed by your youngest sibling (Wales)?

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago (2 children)

Firstly I’m Irish, secondly Scotland are better than Wales

It is since interference is not an objective decision by VAR but a subjective call from the ref. See Dale Johnson below:

Corruption as always.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago

Offside, ever learnt the rules?

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago

Yeah mate I think this one‘s a bit shit but your hearts in the right place

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago

I'm not convinced this is a universal thing across UEFA. In the official Laws of the Game document there are pages on refereeing signals with no mention of these

Celebrating injuries, cheating to win matches, accusing others of anti-football. Definitely East Portuguese.

Dios nos vio jugar y por ser nuestro día nos echó una mano

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago (1 children)

That's what they said at the time. Then 15 minutes later they said offside.

So, fucking what was it?

If at the time the referee awards it due to offside interference ....then why does he wave for a direct free kick (foul) and not an indirect free kick (offside) ?

Well, mate, I'm thinking the game was corrupt as fuck and they're throwing any reason they can at a wall to see what sticks.

But also, I'm kind of over it, and we'd have been lucky to get a point out the game.

It seems a mess and very conveinent for Spain is all.

The ball went in the back of the net. Nobody was fouled and nobody was offside. Ergo it was a goal.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago

If that’s true it’s harder to plausibly explain what happened. 🤷‍♂️

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Spanish fans (7th generation Americans) need to watch Hibs.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago

No one needs to watch Hibs, fuck sake. Have some mercy

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago

Has ido a matar jajaja

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago

an absolutely fantastic response that nobody could have come up with except for you. i'll remember this one forever, do you mind if i use it on other people?

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago

This ref did not. This ref disallowed the goal for a foul. Why did he do that?

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago

Anyone that thinks that goal was reviews and overturned for an offside is a fucking moron. Refs don’t go to the monitor for offside and he also gave the free kick and not offside signal.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago

Es desternillante lo picados que están cuando ellos mismos hacen lo mismo, mentalidad penosa de persona pequeña pero que risas.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago

In theory if we beat Spain and then beat Scotland with two goals Scotland need three points in Georgia.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago

Honestly never seen a more fixed match in my life.

Thats what one of the so-called 'best footballing nations in the world' need to win against Scotland??

We're fucking shite. We hammered yous once, and yous need the dodgiest refereeing of all time to achieve the exact same result in return?

Deary me. I mean I'd respect it if you'd managed to get to first in the group, but this? Wow....

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago

Are there really England fans siding with Scotland against Spain?

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago

No one needs to watch Hibs, fuck sake. Have some mercy

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago

Actually, we want the English on Spains side on this one.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago

Para los hispanoparlantes, ¿Oyarzabal ha estado tan mal como lo he visto yo, o no? Me ha parecido un partido penoso.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago

Well, after this boring and controversial match, I may have something to say.

Personally, I think that Scotland's goal was valid. But even if it counted, they were playing like Getafe and it was a matter of time that someone scored. And the second Spanish goal was just perfect, que barbaridad Joselu.

Anyways I have to say goodbye to all of you Guiris, Mountain English and fellow Spaniards. 🇪🇸

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago

We can justify it because it was a goal.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago

Relevant at being 2nd.

Time will tell mate, you won’t even get out of the groups stage if you get to the Euros, the same way you embarrass yourselves every single tournament you play, be it football be it rugby, it’s Scotland lads
