I think it was offside. My problem is the ref was called to look for a foul, called for a foul, UEFA said it was a foul and then 10 minutes later UEFA come back and say it was actually offside. That is a complete joke of a performance from the referee and VAR and is not fit for a game of this magnitude. Adding to that I thought the referee was completely woeful for the rest of the game as well which only added to this.

Afaik the on screen graphic is from the producer which if Dale Johnson's guess is correct, then they would have gotten the wrong impression as well.

i don't know if you're saying it wasn't fixed or if you're saying i should be noticing fixing more often

Spain is way too busy sucking ass at speaking foreign languages, having the 2nd worst level of English in Europe only behind Hungary, but we’re coming for you you Puskas boys 🤬🤬

In bigger stadiums yes, but I visited the Camp Nou and Anoeta (Reale Arena) the past year twice and they didn't show anything on the screen other than "VAR Check". Same in Cyprus where most stadiums don't even have a big screen.

It might be different in each country, but even then the stadiums announcer/producer is who is responsible for that.

because not also was it not even offside, it was not given for an offside, it was given specifically as a foul, the players were told by the referee it was a foul, the signal given by the referee was for a foul, the stadium screen itself said foul

He was offside and would have been a robbery if the goal stood.

No you didn't. You explained why UEFA changed their minds later and said it was offside, But you didn't explain why the VAR and the ref both thought it was a foul.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Because the Scottish player shoves/touches the goalkeeper. It is very soft but I have seen fouls called for less.

Nobody cares about rugby in Spain but it’s a big deal in Scotland, since it’s one of the 2 sports you’re decent at. We have tons of success in basketball, tennis, waterpolo, handball, football, etc that we decided to suck at something to make it more interesting for the others

At the end of the day the goal being disallowed is correct.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago

i'm sure you were thinking this during the 10 or so minutes where it was ruled as a foul

where else have you seen a referee decision retroactively changed during a match

I need a bit more Scottish salt to put it on their self inflicted wounds.

Again.

There's no whining like the British whining.

You had 24% percent possession and zero shots at goal close to the 70th minute but you have the nerve to claim you deserved something. How about you play some fuckin football first.

So basically Scotland gets to put all of the blame of the game on the ref for ruling off an illegal goal

But if Rodri complains in the First Leg then he is a crybaby and bad loser

Cool
