Hi, I need to help choose server for beginner. I want to selfhost together for example : friendica, pixelfed, matrix, invidious, website (not for public), email, search engine and try different plugins and bridges It should be just somthing personal for me to learn how to use decentralized software and be independent from big tech.

Email is a major headache to self-host due to overly agressive spam filtering by some large companies. Better look for a domain service that includes a personal email address or some professional email service that allows using your own domain.

Self-hosting Matrix with federation enabled is going to eat up all your SSD space and a major chunk of your RAM. IMHO not worth it. Better use XMPP (snikket.org).

I don't agree with the part about Matrix. For me the database of Synapse is 113 Mb, I have federation enabled... But XMPP needs even less space, that's true (I have that too! :-)) Hosting your own e-mail is a pain, but not impossible. It took me months to figure it out though, and I had to make some compromises (I am using my Domain-Provider as SMTP Relay for all my outgoing mails). It is a lot of fun though, once you get it all to work! And I learned a lot. I wish you luck.
