Thanks for the heads up, I replied in that MR.
My feeling about this is that it's a problem that doesn't need solving. A configurable set of share buttons might be handy but I prefer these networks to stay separate lest I become spammed with photo notifications on my microblogging site or microblogs on my link-sharing site.
It seems like Pleroma is implementing something called "groups" which will be then federated with communities here on Lemmy. So those two things will likely stay separate from your normal micro-blogging feed.
