At the time he said this Pat and the boys were decoding different units of counting I.e. "a couple is two, a few is three, etc" so I think the implication from "a few fortnights" was that Arod thinks he's 6 weeks away from a comeback.

It would be stupid for him to not take the proper time rehabbing the injury, just to come back too soon and blow it out again. Why would the Jets organization want that? Not to mention that he will be gassed by the 2nd quarter. When you play fatigued you're even more susceptible to injury. I don't see any upside to this at all. Does anyone really think, even with Rodgers coming back, that the Jets are a Superbowl contender?

There are only 2 options here. Either he and NYJ lied about the severity of his injury or he’s taking a massive amount of roids to recover.

On the one hand I fully believe the NFL is turning a blind eye to him using HGH or something similar to accelerate his recovery because the story would sell (elite HOF QB playing in biggest market overcomes odds, the books/movies write themselves)

On the other, I also think Rodgers is an attention whore who would absolutely be acting this way even if a return was completely and utterly impossible.
