We have 2 more losses then all the teams 5 through 7, so we are really 2 games back. If you want to count them playing one less game then us as a half game I could see 1.5 games back, but we win 2 and they lose 2, they can still win the next one and be tied with us with the head to head tie breaker.

Unless we sweep the Chiefs and win the division instead

Competent coaching, this team is 6-3 easy. McDummy wasn't operating like a coach with a lot of rope starting the old vet Hoyer instead of the rookie they drafted vs Chicago. That leaves him no other choice but to start Jimmy vs the Lions where Jimmy had one of the worst games of his career. That Lions game was another winnable game for the Raiders if the offense was functioning at all. He missed a couple TD's to #17, one being the underthrown INT in the end zone & the potential 98 yarder to the house.

Another winnable game was Pittsburgh where Jimmy threw 3 picks. The reason Jimmy G is/was playing the worst of his career was the coaching. Rigid system coaching. He didnt coach to Jimmys strengths like Shanahan did in SF. Jimmy was on the field under the same duress as McDummy. I hate to be a Jimmy G apologist, but I am going to do it, simply because his career numbers dont back up how BAD he has played this season.

For the record I hated McDummy from the hire to the scapegoating Carr, to his invisible 2nd half adjustments getting outcoached by more flexible coaches, last summers draft - See Ya Ziggy !

I was in favor of moving up for CJ Stroud in the draft, rookie of the year so far.

We beat a bad team. Well, we were supposed to beat a bad team. We got 3 very tough games coming up. Going 2-1 would be favorable for our chances, but we all been fans long enough to know this team is more likely to get blown the fuck out by the Jets than actually win convincingly.
