I spent several months building and writing this website, which contains all of the reasons why it is important to abandon corporate social media platforms, for good.

In the “Why” page I listed >20 different reasons why corporate social media are bad and harmful, also by collecting a lot of related researches, articles, videos and documentaries.

Among the solutions, I suggest to join the Fediverse and prefer federated social media.

Please, I would be tremendously happy if you would be willing to support my work by sharing the website and contributing to its content.

Thanks for sharing your blog post. Nice overview! Just a note about Firejail, I've used Firejail for some time, until I came across a Whonix forum discussion mentioned here : https://lemmy.ml/post/68287 I am in the process of replacing my Firejail usage with other tools.

Poorly titled in my opinion.

Quitting social media includes the Fediverse too (based upon the titling).

Something such as "Quitting centralized social media" might be better worded.

You are right. I tried to find a catchy title and adding the word “centralized” would make it even messier and longer. Unfortunately, for most people “social media” are the centralized monopolies that I invite to quit, and they have no idea of what the Fediverse is.

Nevertheless, in the what page I better explain that the website is not about quitting ALL social media platforms in general, but only some specific ones.

That said, I confirm again that I know the current title is not the best one. If anyone has a better domain or title suggestion, please do not hesitate to get in touch
