I felt these past 2 games in particular they have done a good job limiting penalties
Las Vegas Raiders
Welp, there goes our season. The rest of the year is going to be the most penalized in 7 games of all time.
Wth? Are we talking about the raiders?
Oh look the devil is buying a snow shovel
That’s been the biggest treat for me this season besides many of our defensemen learning how to tackle. It has been such a delight watching the other team shoot its own dick off every third play. The ones we get are almost always poorly timed, but we get so few of them that I persevere.
That was the one thing that JMD really helped with.
I think he hammered down on it so hard that our guys were afraid to actually play hard.
For example: I'd prefer we get more DPIs than average if playing closer/more physical generated 2-3 turnovers per game. If we're playing to avoid penalties then we're just gonna get exploited.
There is an incredibly fine line to this though.
Sure. AP has done really well so far with that also. Wonder how much of that is JMD.
McDaniels did make them run for penalties while he was here. I guess just 95% of it was bad.
It’s a lie!!
It's politics. Mark Davis is a friend to the League, unlike Al. Now that they are in Vegas, we have the NFL behind us.
Mark is letting Gruden use his lawyers to sue the NFL, so I'm not sure how much they see him as a friend. If anything, the league probably feels less threatened by Mark because compared to Al, Mark is kind of a dingus lol
All 32 teams owners are REAL friendly to the league. We're doing less illegal shit which is always a good way to live.
It felt to me like the refs were hammering on the Jets for a bunch of bullshit. Same in the Lions game… it’s been weird on the other side.
The refs were trying to finely tune this game it's obnoxious. Even stood in the way of Crosby's potential game ending sack. It's fuckin Sunday Night bro, they have to make the game somewhat interesting or lose money. Period.
the refs have been good all season. AOC got roughing the passer call only the vets get
they hate Davante tho
Why'd you have to bring this to the league's attention?! Bruh!
Is there any correlation between penalties and success. If you look at 2022, Rams were 2nd least, Bengals 10th least. If you look at this year, Miami, Arizona, Denver are the 3 teams ahead of us.
As far as success vs penalties, the chart seems to be all over the place
The NFL is so woke now the league is going to fully support a black HC and GM anyway they can. All the commentators are pounding the table for us to keep AP and comparing his style to Deion Sanders in Colorado. Finally the autumn wind blows in the direction we want.
Oh no hopefully he's not like Deion "it's all about me" Sanders and his habit of choking and being blown out worse than mcd
Unpopular opinion I don't think there's some grand ref conspiracy against the Raiders. Just a mix of the Raiders are undisciplined as shit and also refs are just generally shitty and incompetent.
Uhh are we in the upside down world! This hasn’t happened in decades.
Very surprising stat
It’s not so much the amount. It’s the quality of the penalty lol. Timing and the type of penalty it is. Hurts us a lot
4th least penalized team so far..
I will give this an upvote! Not a stat I usually expect from the Raiders, but fuck yeah!
This is some great news
AP is great but let's not act as though EVERYTHING the Pats regime brought in was garbage. I love the discipline to play smart. Truly 4D chess by Mark Davis to temporarily hire those Pats guys to steal what is good and discard what sucks about their processes.
Shhhh
This statistic tells me that we haven't played the Chiefs yet.
