Raiders leave, I follow.

A’s leave, good fucking riddance.

Even at their worst, the raiders wanted to win. The A’s just want your money and won’t keep a team together. Fuck them forever and always

Rooted in Oakland My Ass

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

Fkn lame, I don’t even follow baseball but why do they gotta tag along.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

Us? Many of us are stilll rooted in Oakland.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

I hope the A's fail in the desert. Fuck them, actual poverty franchise.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

"Rooted in Oakland" 😂

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

If Mark was smart he'd fire Josh McDaniels.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

As a former A's diehard, fuck the A's and fuck the uneducated fans that didn't and still don't understand how they fucked the Raiders out of Oakland.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

I hope Mark makes it hard for them at every turn, since the A's organization did the same in Oakland.

The A's have been crying poverty since the bash brothers were a thing, but the fact of the matter is that the Bay Area is rich enough and populated enough to support 2 baseball and 2 football teams, but the A's chose to make easy money and in the process, pushed out one of the football teams.

Fuck the A's.

Wants a stadium, is a billionaire.

He won't sell stock

He won't sell the team

He won't find investors

He won't take a loan

He just wants a free stadium with welfare forever and no expenses whatsoever. In return, he will do jack shit. What the fuck is his point of being? GTFO of my city.

Not an As fan so idk how to feel. As long as those dudes find another place that’s not allegiant for 2-3 years, it’s alright ig. The next generation of oakland natives will maybe start rooting for San Francisco teams which sucks though.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

I hope the Athletics brand stays in Oakland. I realized it didn’t start in Oakland, but I feel dead with them moving to LV. Like others I followed Raiders there despite wanting them to stay in oakland. Rather than repeat what most said, I’ll just go upvote them. Fuck fisher

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

Fuck John Fisher entitled piece of shit

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

Oakland just got abandoned by all three professional sports teams. That’s crazy.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

I’m not an A’s fans. But can someone explain to me why Oakland hates them? (I’m not from the West Coast)

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

"ROoTeD iN OaKLanD"

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

Fuck John Fisher. Not following the A’s to Vegas like I did with the Raiders. Mark Davis might not be the best owner but you know he loves the Raiders and its fans. Fisher doesn’t care about the team or the fans, just wants to make the most money while doing the bare minimum.

As a former A's fan that used to bleed green and gold until they literally ruined baseball for me, I look forward to seeing that empty stadium. The Vegas A's will fail, nobody will give a shit about them. How removed from reality do you have to be to think they can fill that stadium for 81 games?

I feel bad for the players and coaches, butt fuck John Fisher. Nothing will make me happier than watching this fail.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Sorry about your loss, but I think they will just do fine in LV and probably better from the business side. Even if they suck.

LV is a huge tourist spot, and away fans will fill it up.

I'm not for the move. I have family in Oakland, and they are super upset.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago (1 children)

How many people do you think are going to fly to Vegas to watch their team play on a random Wednesday?

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

I mean that would definitely be the spot to do it.

You act like people don't go to Vegas on a whim. Lol.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

stadium gonna be filled with some of Nevada’s most degenerate gamblers

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

So... this will be a stadium with a roof right? Imagine going to a summer ball game in Vegas when its 115 degrees outside.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

Does that make Mark Davis Moses?

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago (1 children)

they better stay the fuck away from allegiant. no more of that infield dirt bullshit

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

Allegiant can't even hold a World Cup game. The field is too narrow. How would they be able to host baseball?

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

I was definitely more of an As fan than a raiders growing up so this hurt me in a way the raiders move didn’t. The raiders already left us for LA one time, so another move was always likely. But the As have been shitting on Oakland for 20 years and pretending not to have money or fans when the truth was they just didn’t want to be there. Oakland is great town and hopefully we get another Baseball, football, or basketball team eventually.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

fuck the As. and my goodness where they wanna put the stadium is going to make the stadium ten times more of a clusterfuck

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

Vegas native here:

Fuck the A's. I know a handful of people that are excited we're getting a baseball team here, and it's solely so they don't have to travel to see their actual favorite team when they come to town.

The ownership group is the worst in pro sports now that Eugene Melnyk died to relinquish control of the Senators, and Dan Snyder was forced to sell the Commanders. They will never have a competitive team again. They aren't interested in winning. They're just interested in fielding the bare minimum team so they can make money from watching their team get futtbucked by every other team.

Whoever in Vegas government saw how they were given a sweetheart deal in Oakland and even that wasn't enough for them and still said, "yeah let's give them tax money!" is a fucking idiot.

And this is on top of the clusterfuck that is the F1 race in town. Locals are pretty pissed off at our tax money going to making ridiculously wealthy people more money while making our lives worse, for like the 3rd time in just a handful of years. And the A's are just a dumpster fire. Nothing about the actual team is exciting.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

I hope that someone comes along that purchases the A’s history as MLB expands to 32 teams so this Vegas team has to rebrand. For an example think about the Browns moving to Baltimore and rebranding as the Ravens then the expansion Browns team (now their divisional rivals).

  • I know the new Browns have not been good since expansion but the point is the Cleveland Browns fans got their team back and I’m hoping the A’s fans get theirs back.
[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

They gonna fk us Dodgers fans out here from watching them over here. 🤦🏽‍♂️👎🏽

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

Fuck the A’s bro

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

🖕 screw the A's

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

I get why the city prioritized the A's over the Raiders - 81 games vs 8. But it was a big mistake, because I feel it's become obvious that Davis was actually negotiating with Oakland in good faith while that was never the case with the A's.

I still root for the Raiders as hard as I did when they were in LA and Oakland, but the Vegas thing is sad. It's gonna wind up like the Phoenix market - oversaturated with teams that mostly don't draw and don't have any national appeal. Raiders in Oakland was special.
