Did you know you can edit titles on lemmy? You could fix your typo. stram -> steam

[–] [email protected] 14 points 2 years ago

And also the other 14 typos in the title

[–] [email protected] 0 points 2 years ago

Haha i did not, im on mobile, may edit it later

[–] [email protected] 12 points 2 years ago (2 children)

I'll throw in Hollow Knight as a recommendation

[–] [email protected] 7 points 2 years ago

The ori games are great on deck too.

[–] [email protected] 4 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Some friends recommended this over and over for the longest time. I was never really interested, as it didn't seem like the kinda game I'd be into (2D, platformer, "metroidvania"? - wtf is that?).

I finally caved in and gave it a shot. I was super frustrated at first. I was just really bad at it. Fast forward a few months and I've played it through at least a few times. Last playthrough got me the "Speed Completion", "Steel Soul", and "Steel Heart" achievements.

Easily one of my favorite games of all time. Super excited for Silksong.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago

Ah yes silksong the game that still hasn't had a solid release date yet 🥲

[–] [email protected] 8 points 2 years ago

Outer Wilds, Disco Elysium and Elden Ring for me! I had not had the Steam Deck for that long though.

[–] [email protected] 6 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Prey was awesome and ran great! I had a great time with Surviving Mars. Just "finished" Necesse in it's current EA form.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Did you play the DLC for Prey already? Mooncrash is really entertaining.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 2 years ago (1 children)

I haven't tried it yet! As fun as Prey was, it was also scary and stressful lol. I needed a break from the genre :)

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago

Fair enough. They play pretty differently, with Mooncrash being even more stressful due to the time limit. :D

[–] [email protected] 6 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Death Stranding. Keep on keeping on!

[–] [email protected] 2 points 2 years ago

Oh gotta try that on the deck!

[–] [email protected] 6 points 2 years ago

Diablo IV runs really well on the Steam Deck.

[–] [email protected] 6 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Can I participate even if I don't have a Steam Deck? 🥺

[–] [email protected] 10 points 2 years ago

well, according to the title we are looking for stram deck games, so you prolly good to participate

I hate when the steam deck fans are loud so I like playing 2D games like Vampire Survivors on it.

[–] [email protected] 3 points 2 years ago

Great game, they adapted it to mobile, arguably best place to play it now

[–] [email protected] 4 points 2 years ago (1 children)

TLOZ: Breath Of The Wild, Tears of the Kingdom & Hollow Knight but what i like the most is Gnome Tetravex, no kidding

How do you deal with TOTK running at 20fps?

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago* (last edited 2 years ago)

Wdym? check out this: TOTK Mod colection Read everything and also check out their recomended settings here I use the lazy mods (30fps 720p Ui compatiple) + Steamdeck Ui + Aspect Ratio (16:10) and the latest TOTK update And in the yuzu config use x1 not x2 for the resolution And in aspect ratio stretch to window Remember that the steamdeck screen is just 720p with a 16:10 Aspect ratio (i know it is not but it works) It runs at stable 30fps (Sometimes lower but never something awfull)

[–] [email protected] 4 points 2 years ago

Brotato, even more now since 1.0 haha. Lots of old GBA games via RetroArch. Battle for Wesnoth is great on there too. A bunch honestly.

[–] [email protected] 4 points 2 years ago* (last edited 2 years ago)

Cloudpunk has been fun to play in bed. Also Dorf Romantik. And... ah, The Ascent also runs quite nicely on the Deck, if you can get over the text size.

I go regularly also to retro games in EmuDeck.

[–] [email protected] 3 points 2 years ago

I really like that you can throw like any USB/Bluetooth/Dongle controllers lying around at it to play some nice couch coop/multiplayer games when friends are around (in docked mode on a big screen oc). Stick Fight The Game with up to 4 players, Gang Beasts with up to 8, Nidhogg I and II for a tournament.

[–] [email protected] 3 points 2 years ago

Most recently, American Truck Simulator! But a game of Human Fall Flat whenever a new map comes out never goes amiss!

[–] [email protected] 3 points 2 years ago

Binding of Isaac Repentance is great! I've dumped so many hours into it.

[–] [email protected] 3 points 2 years ago

Shadows of Doubt is a really cool procedurally generated detective game, the performance is definitely a little iffy, but it’s still playable and very fun

[–] [email protected] 3 points 2 years ago

Grand Theft Auto 4 is awesome to play on the go(though it does eat battery life)

[–] [email protected] 2 points 2 years ago

Wall World How to survive

Both great to play on the deck.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 2 years ago

I've been playing Nova Island lately and it's been great on Steam Deck!

[–] [email protected] 2 points 2 years ago (1 children)

I've been having a blast with Hard space: Ship breaker, it plays great but it can eat the battery a bit

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago

Have you played with kb+m before? I tried to play on the Deck but couldn't get used to the controller

[–] [email protected] 2 points 2 years ago

Pizza Tower

I really enjoy Snowrunner as a single player game on the deck. Truck hauling game but I’m pretty open world sceneries, it gets challenging very quickly (Dark souls but with diesel fuel). The deck runs the game fantastically so it’s a great casual game to just drop in and drop out whenever.

For multiplayer, I like the Lego Star Wars Skywalker Saga and It Takes Two (story was fucked and definitely someone’s childhood trauma story but the gameplay is well executed and fun).

[–] [email protected] 2 points 2 years ago

Multiplayer, the Steam Deck is great for couch co-op like PlateUp! I carry a usb-c dock with hdmi out so I can put it on a friend's TV.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 2 years ago

Picking up games I am currently playing on my gaming PC like the RE-engine Resident Evils and remakes or Jedi and Hogwarts have been my best experiences so far. Yes, graphical fidelity isn’t as good, but the general seamlessness gives serious Switch vibes, but for modern games instead of the more „mobile“ feeling of the average Switch game.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago

Kingdom two crowns, I've owned the game for a while but only really got into it with my Deck.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago* (last edited 2 years ago)

Single player: Hades
Multiplayer: Deep Rock Galactic, Euro Truck Simulator 2

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago

Persona 5 Royal on go :)

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago

Yakuza - any of them honestly. They run so well on the SD it’s incredible.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago

Fallout New Vegas and Battle Brothers has been my go-tos!

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago (1 children)

CS:Go for multiplayer :) It took me a while to build a very accurate control scheme using the touchpads, gyro and back buttons; everything had to be tuned multiple times. But once I was done, I stopped playing CS:Go on my PC. It may sound unbelievable to the uninitiated but you can get the same level of performance on the Deck in a competitive FPS (my rankings and #headshots hasn't taken a hit). The point is, don't sleep on the touchpads and gyro!

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago

I tried this with fallout new Vegas but can't get comfortable with on it. Any advise would be appreciated. Using wasteland mod so combat is better, but controls suck to me. I also tried flick stick.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago

Enter the gungeon. Own it on 3 different platforms and after 100s of hours of playing it's still fun to play.
