I realized today - after using my laptop to give a presentation at work - I have nearly completed transitioned from Windows as an operating system for work and school for the past year in favor of Linux Mint (specifically XFCE) on my laptop. Super interesting to step back and analyze this and recognize just how easily this transition has come to be as opposed to a potentially painful process of circumventing what would be natural processes on Windows.

Thank you to the devs of Mint and the entire Linux community as well! Here's to many more years to come using the Linux kernel!

It's a reliable distribution! The Linux Mint forum is also a useful site for help and assistance when needed.

If you don't have Nvidia gpu, then try LMDE and here's why: https://forums.linuxmint.com/viewtopic.php?t=374128

LMDE6 will be out within weeks and brings many great updates. IMO the regular version should be only used with Nvidia gpu.

Is LMDE not recommended with nVidia?

I think its been about 2 years since I first tested out Mint on an old laptop. Soon I dual booted every computer we had. Been probably a year an a half of almost exclusive Mint use for work and study. Just built our first custom PC about a month ago which is finally the first PC we've owned totally clean of Microsoft. Transformation Complete.
