Wonder why he didn't want to play in East Pennsylvania? Didn't want to learn the game plan, or didn't want to deal with the pressure of playing on a playoff team.

Well 2 things. We have a ton of injuries at LB and DB. And he signed to the practice squad not the active rooster.
Considering both starting ILB are out for the year and Minkah is still out anything can help solidify the middle of the field.
Honestly, I'd rest Minkah Fitzpatrick until the game in Seattle.

He’s one of the best that we got, so no chance. But we used to have good linebackers (back when that was all we had, we did have DeMeco Ryans AND Jordan Hicks at the same time).

Not that I really care about losing Jack but I find it weird players can un-retire the same year they retire. Couldn’t this cause some contractual loopholes under certain circumstances?
The Eagles could have kept his rights and taken him back on the team, from my understanding. Jack likely reached out to them, said he wanted to join the Steelers, and the Eagles did him a solid to waive him from the retired list. I don't think the Eagles do that if he said he wanted to join the 49ers or Cowboys.
