Good Day!!

Ok. I’ve got a multi- AP eero network in my home and barn. mMy barn is about 75 feet from the house and the APs have unimpeded LOS. no connectivity issues.

Home is 3400sqft single story typical brick , hipped roof, ranch home. open floor plan.

I want POE Cams around the house. POE cams in the barn with an AP and maybe a AP to push a signal toward the back 30 so I can run some game cams to watch the herd and some “jenky” spots in the fence.

So far i’m leaning toward a unifi system. with a building bridge to the barn…

Anyone run POE switches in a pelican style box to limit exposure? they’ll be cameras in the barn to watch stalls and such.

My net service is Starlink. I get 300dn and 50up reliably.

send me your questions and thoughts.

Thank y’all.

I use Unifi on my “farm” with the Flex switches for cameras. They are outdoor rated, so no case needed.

unifi makes outdoor poe switches, they also make enclosures as additional protection.

Look at the Flex and the Flex Utility for the enclosure.
