The second I've already done, and according to the git Log there was never an htaccess file in the apps folder, I'd really appreciate if you could check. Otherwise I'll have to spin up another instance.

I have been running NC on debian for years, upgrading all the way from somewhere below 20 to currently 26 on the stable channel. The only thing that ever broke anything for me is switching php7.4 to 8.1, and that only because I'm a bit of a noob at php things and didn't properly install all relevant packages on my first try. So I would offer that as another anecdote.

How would you connect a camera with this? That must be an error. USB c port on the iPad, and then lightning to micro b? Am I missing something?

Of course they can pull data from their client. But what makes you believe signal would connect to Whatsapp without your explicit consent? If that doesn't happen, there is none of your data to pull from someone else's device. I don't see why you think the ability to make a connection alone puts your (or any exclusive Signal users) data in any danger.
