Looks like you found a solution that works. Just wanted to mention that I use macros in Macrodroid and/or Tasker for these sort of things.
For example, I have a macro set to HTTP GET my domain at 60 minute intervals as a up check.
Sorry if I'm missing something here, but this seems clickbaity to me. From what I can glean from the short video clip he's stating that the U.S. is a leader in "this region" which could mean a geographic region or a region of technology advacement. Inferring that his statement is "you must accept U.S. leadership" seems intentionally worded to spark outrage and garner clicks.
I think they try to downplay this by "clarifying" in the blurb below the video: "U.S. leadership in some areas needed to be recognized."
Intel is a leader in some areas of processor technology. Intel can make that exact claim. By making that claim, Intel is not telling AMD "nakedly" that they "must accept Intel's leadership."
This is resolved in TLS 1.3 with ECH. Adoption is still not wide though, so your concern is valid.
