Because, at least in the US, any media that children could see in a public forum (print newspapers, online public forums, articles, etc) can't have anything considered "sexualized images" in it. It's mainly a BS move to keep advertising dollars just like Reddit not making NSFW content available on their mobile platform.

Also the fact t that there are several lawsuits for violating GDPR/CPPA. That seems like a death-knell for being so early in the IPO game.
