That coffee cup is suspicious though.

I really don’t know where you get your assumptions from but they are terrible

I simply followed the logic from "The human population of over 8 billion is inherently evil, and greedy", then determined that if that were true society couldn't exist in the state it does now.

The only reason society exists is because of a fucktonne of rules going back several thousand years about how you are supposed to behave in a society

If everyone were as you claimed them to be (Inherently Evil, Greedy, etc) they would not abide by those rules and society would exist in anarchy. This is the logical conclusion of your assertion regarding general human behavior. This means that humans cannot be inherently evil because we currently do not exist in anarchy where everyone is doing and taking what they want.

If you want to see what barebones humans without societal rules, read up on feral children

If you want to see any animal at their worst, put them in a life or death survival situation.

If you were correct society as a whole would already exist as true anarchy, therefore humans are not inherently evil, greedy, or out for themselves. We could not coexist in any meaningful way if that were true.

How do you define "I"?

In other words you believe what your senses tell you to be real even though you cannot objectively prove your senses to be trustworthy?

The point is if they can make the next big thing it is worth the attempt for how much money it makes, and people constantly supporting those kinds of games drives the larger companies to chase the dragon. They will also make some money in the attempt a lot of the time, making them more likely to keep trying.

It is the same with microtransactions. Everyone hates them, yet enough people use them to make it massively profitable.

Be the change you want to see. Instead of making a post complaining about executive decisions, make a post about the great indie games you played recently and get the word out about them.

No, because they fail to be "the next fortnite" but enough players flock to the "new shiny thing" to make it viable to try. They still make money off of those games in the beginning with predatory sales tactics, they just don't maintain enough steam or make enough money in the companies eyes.

No matter how many times studios fail and close live service games, players continue to flock to them and dump money on them instead of supporting great indie studios and projects allowing the cycle to continue.

The sky isn't blue.

What do you imagine life on other planets to look like?

I prefer to believe in randomness because it makes everything that much more mind blowing to think about.

The article itself is important because it is fucked up that BCUP kept taking donations long after they dropped out and the election was over, but it had a very interesting piece of information about the election overall that is buried in it.

Between Aug. 29 and Dec. 31, the B.C. Conservatives took in just under $3.93 million from 4,534 contributions, while the NDP received just over $3.93 million from 7,439 contributions.

Provincial political contributions in B.C. are capped at about $1,484 in 2025, up from just over $1,450 last year.

It is interesting that with the same limits, and about the same dollar amount donated, the BC conservatives hit $3.93 million with about 3,000 less donors.

Speaks volumes.

The question that I have not seen asked is why are these guns being destroyed?

I may be ignorant to some reason why it is not possible, but wouldn't the best idea be to buy back all of these weapons for use in the military?

I hear our military could use millions of guns and parts, and it would actually justify the cost of the program. It would also be a massive increase on military spending our allies have been asking for and that we are in serious need of.
