Rasmussen poll approval up a whopping 2%, J.L. Partners poll up 1%.
Forgive me if I don't trust Newsweek or anyone else to accurately pinpoint exactly what caused this "surge" of 1-2%, or to tell us how we can "respond appropriately."
There are far more impactful news items in our country happening every day, we don't need to spend time on a reported 1-2% change from 2 polls. They are literally ignoring the rule of law right now and grabbing people off the street.
50501 and other groups are holding more protests nationwide this Saturday 4/19.
Get involved with organizers locally.
Get off your butts and STAND UP, people!
"...This order directs certain agencies to incorporate a sunset provision into their regulations governing energy production to the extent permitted by law, thus compelling those agencies to reexamine their regulations periodically to ensure that those rules serve the public good..."
"Sec. 4. Zero-Based Regulating. (a) To the extent consistent with applicable law, each of the Covered Agencies shall issue a sunset rule, effective not later than September 30, 2025, that inserts a Conditional Sunset Date into each of their Covered Regulations. (b) The sunset rule shall provide that each Covered Regulation in effect on the date of this order shall have a Conditional Sunset Date of 1 year after the effective date of the sunset rule..."
This is another good example of a post that shouldn't really make it to this mirror, imo. Clearly fake and unproductive, and other mods have already removed the original post.
I say this only to illustrate an issue with this mirror, which I think could be greatly lessened by having some sort of longer delay on when things are mirrored to a post here. This community here has very few people in it, and even fewer moderators. Because of this, we can assume that there are fewer people reporting rule-breaking content, and fewer mods to remove that content. This results in our community here being bombarded by a much higher concentration of rule-breaking content than even the original community these posts came from.
So if there is any way to implement more of a time-delay on when the posts get mirrored here, it would allow for fewer of the removed posts to be sent here to us. I don't want to be constantly reporting tons of the same posts that have already been removed, duplicating the amount of mod work and overwhelming our mods for no reason. And without reporting them, they will keep innundating our community here with all of the worst posts that rightfully died already at their original source. Thank you for your consideration.
If I had to guess, I think the user you replied to would agree that your example is also morally wrong and strategically counterproductive. It seems like that was their point.
