You're absolutely right, my example was not a good one. Although we are still not exempt from being used as pawns, even though we are often a little more educated about the methods that are being used to do so.

The left isn't the issue, I'm saying the left has also been used as pawns. We are not beyond manipulation and we have absolutely been pitted against each other. This is a huge reason for all the infighting on the left.

Yup. Rainbow capitalism. Whatever way to pit us against each other.

God, I would honestly be so happy if we did away with credit entirely in Canada and removed all incentive to have credit cards.

That's very interesting, I learned something new today!

On a lot of credit cards you get rewards for using them, like interest income. Basically the more you use it, the more interest you get, and you'll get a credit in your account annually.

Some cards have different rewards like 2% back on all grocery spending for example.

Oh wow no cash back at all??

There's absolutely a way, for sure, I just mean it's gonna be difficult to get most people on board until there is an option just as or more convenient than the current one.

For this to work, Interac needs to incentivize using it like credit cards do.

All types of loans require a credit score of some kind, and credit cards are one of the best ways to build this. Additionally, credit cards usually offer some kind of return.

Also because of poverty, a lot of people have a dependency on credit or payment plans.

Interac needs to make a Canadian answer to the credit card.

You were mocking him for liking IPAs. My point was that it makes no sense to insult what other people like because that's shitty and taste is subjective. That's something people do when they want to be mean for no reason.

Being mean for no reason isn't cool past gradeschool.

Leather boots (work and otherwise) (canada-west-boots-factory-outlet.myshopify.com)

Canada West is an internationally recognized brand out of Winnipeg that makes red-wing quality boots for a lower price. They already sell workboots in many stores around the country as well.

They have workboots, western boots, Chelsea boots, and some very nice dress boots as well!

I didn't know this until recently, but there is a national do-not-call list you can register your canadian phone number to through the government of Canada:

https://lnnte-dncl.gc.ca/en

Additionally, if you're already a customer with the company calling or have been within a year, they are allowed to call you; HOWEVER,

Next time a company -- like rogers for example -- incessantly calls you, ask them to add you to their internal do-not-call list, and enjoy your peace knowing that if they call you again, you can report them to the government of Canada. They face possible financial repercussions if this happens.

I knew this looked familiar!
