Ich habe das Bild zuerst falsch gelesen und dachte du hast erst die NUM Taste gedrückt und dann dem Kollegen stundenlang beim Verzweifeln zugeschaut.

Yeah, maybe an upgrade like that is needed in the not-to-far future. And thanks for the links, I'll look into that.

Thank you for the tips and insights, very much appreciated! I think for a start I'll get some more cheap DDR4 RAM then and put in the 3070.

Also, about the RAM: If I get like 2x16GB, do I leave the old RAM in or is that a bad idea/ doesn't work?

I'm helping a family member upgrade their PC, and thought it might be good to get a second opinion on it since I'm not a pro either when it comes to PC parts.

Here are the specs:

  • Intel Core i5 6600K
  • Nvidia GeForce GTX 970
  • Samsung SSD 850 EVO 500GB (and a 2TB HDD)
  • 2x4GB DDR4 RAM from Corsair
  • ASUS Maximus VIII Ranger
  • Corsair RM750i

Intent of the upgrade is to enhance gaming experience.

My first thought was to upgrade the SSD since 500GB isn't a lot anyways and the product page of the 850 EVO says it has 540 MB/s read speed which doesn't seem like a lot to me these days. Then also maybe the RAM, but I have no idea how much of an impact upgrading it has.

The other thing is upgrading CPU and/or GPU, but for that to be worth it I think you need to spend a lot more. I was thinking about giving them my RTX 3070 when I upgrade my own PC soon, in that case what would be a good CPU to go with it. Or would it be fine to just upgrade the GPU?

"In fact" and "I heard" don't go well together in a sentence. Unless you're saying it's a fact that you've heard it of course.

Also, sorry for the pedantry.

Also, just to give a source, 8 US presidents have died during office, which results in a mortality rate of about 18%. That is of course way higher than any other job.

I don't think OP was trying to say Proton Mail is bad or insecure. Rather the opposite.

This. All these systems for how to design a base efficiently (like a well stuctured main bus or city blocks) end up making the base look boring and samey imo.

Do permanents that are also a 4/4 creature because of [[Bello, Bard of the Brambles]] trigger creature ETB effects from things like [[Warstorm Surge]]?

Can you play other games that require Proton on your PC?

I use Youtube on deck in Firefox with youtube.com/tv in kiosk mode. Works really well, but I noticed even when I have a bigger screen connected I can only watch videos in up to 720p. It doesn't let me select anything higher. Is that a YTTV thing or is there a problem in my setup?

As Karlach, can I

spoilertell Gortash "Go fuck yourself" in act 3 without starting a fight (when he proposes hid deal to you)
? I really want to, but I also really don't want to lose my honor run.

My setup: I have a PC (Linux) that I also use for gaming, but I want to connect it to a TV that's in a different room. Now, I know I could just get something like a Shield TV or Apple TV and use Moonlight and be done, but I'd have to buy that.

Since I also have a server that's basically right next to the TV, I was thinking I might be able to (a) stream steam games from my PC to my server (and then connect to the TV) and (b) send the input signals of my peripherals to my PC. I have two controllers, a Bluetooth one and one with a USB dongle. It would be nice to connect both, but that's really not a priority for a start.

Asking here because I'm new to unRAID and was hoping someone has experience with game streaming and can tell me if this would work and is worth it, or whether I should just buy a dedicated device for this. In the second case, do you have recommendations?

Posting it here for the two people who haven't already seen it.

See title, for example [[Generous Patron]]. It's a long running question I had with a friend, and we kind of came to the conclusion that the answer is no because the creature doesn't yet exist when the ETB resolves.

But I gave it some thought again because it feels so weird that so many cards have this kind of effect and supposedly it doesn't get triggered. Does anyone have a definitive answer to this? Would be great if you can refer to the official rulings.

I'm thinking about building an Elden Ring proxy deck (after watching this video), and this Atraxa I made would be a fun proxy commander for a poison deck. Do you have any deck recommendations or tips for building a deck that's not too toxic to play against and suitable for casual commander?

Alternatively, a -1/-1 counter deck would also be fun if that's a thing that exists (it doesn't have to be op).
