I know cloudflare has a free tier and allows you to put rules like this in place. AFAIK you'd have to use them as DNS at least in order to use this feature. I use Cloudflare tunnels and access to facilitate remote access to my home-server, and I know I have this same rule in place.

I seem to remember years ago some people listing their pronouns by she/her/hers. I think she/her, she/they, he/him, etc. is just a shortening of listing all three while also being inclusive. As you mentioned some individuals are more fluid and may go by she and they but prefer she so it is listed as she/they.
I know a few people who have done this with Mastodon and it works quite well so far. Just like email, it doesn't really matter where it's hosted as long as it's being respectful and not sending out spam.
That being said, AFAIK you can't transfer a Lemmy account between instances yet, so if you ever change your mind and want to move to another instance, you may have to create a new account.

Do people not use a VPN with Usenet at all? I have one for torrents to get my Linux ISOs but I just assumed I should also use one to get my news from Usenet.
