An aging population base is not good for the future. Your "logic" is severely limited if you're not considering the need for stable tax revenues to provide services, or the need for sufficient caregivers to aid elderly.

Edit: These are "forward thinking" concerns brought up by the comment you're replying to.

I thought these were the best three episodes they've produced for the show so far. A little rushed in places, and a few things to make a book purist cringe, but ultimately the characters feel more like who they "should be," and I think it's finally becoming clear how they're going to speedrun some of the plot threads.

Plus the cinematography in episode 1's opening scene was really fun.

I am really excited and optimistic for the rest of the season. I was on board for the previous seasons but not exactly excited, if that makes sense.

Yeah, and Biden was old. Even before his obvious deterioration, there was always a chance he wouldn't make it through the term and Kamala would have to step up. If you voted for Biden in the primaries and were NOT ready for a potential future of a Harris presidency, I don't know what you were thinking.

Callous reaction to what is a clear overstep on behalf of US CBP. Denying entry would have been a more efficient move than detainment, unless the cruelty is the point.

Honestly, I wish I shared your optimism. But I know that I, at least, will be waiting to see what's next from Kurvitz.

Yeah! That would be great. I'm sure I'd want to make/share Best Ofs for longer shows, too.

A feature I've seen oft-discussed but never implemented is the ability to create your own personal channels or playlists on a streaming service. For Paramount specifically, I'd create a "Star Trek" playlist that would play an episode from a random Trek show, and at the end of each episode it could ask me whether I want to keep going with that show or "shuffle" to a new one on the channel.

For Netflix or other services with extensive catalogues of comedy (or other single genres, like police procedurals), I could see people using a similar feature.

The idea would be to find a middle ground between the choice paralysis of selecting a movie or show to stream, and the lack of control that came from traditional television.

This, and Peter Thiel naming his terrible companies after Lord of the Rings lore.

Begone, propagandist. Peace is elusive because the Russian government has engineered the situation to be so. That you think they were "likely" to drop an obvious showstopper clause means absolutely nothing; the actual parties to the negotiation clearly did not feel that to be true.

This is such a silly callback, I love it.
