Because normally eggs are very cheap, very easy, and very healthy. When you're broke and living off pasta, beans, and rice, eggs are something you make that you feel good about feeding yourself and your family. Anybody can make good scrambled eggs, and those two eggs in the morning can get you through until you get back home after work.

I can't explain everyone's obsession, but mine is easy to explain: I want to feed my baby two eggs most days of the week. They're clean, she enjoys them plain, they're easy for her to chew, they're very quick, and there's no question on whether they cooked long enough. I hate the taste of eggs but I ate them non-stop through my pregnancy and now as I breast feed. You can't beat them for efficiency. Some days those two eggs are all I eat until dinner time.

They're also crazy versatile! Scrambled, eggs-in-a-basket, hard boiled, French toast, over easy, runny on toast with a tomato slice, egg salad.

I always think it's so crazy when Republicans say crap like this. Democrats hate our leadership, just not as much as we hate your leadership. We absolutely would not follow any democratic leaders into the dark, we barely follow them in the light.

I love to learn the 4 hours thing! He's definitely cooks chicken fine, it's that I am always nervous that he puts the packaging on the counter and what if he touches that and then the cabinet handle to get the pan, and what if he moves another pot out of the way, I just feel like I wash my hands and the counters after every step and he doesn't

There's a guy in Florida who eats a lot of raw chicken (and washes it down with raw eggs apparently) and he does just fine. You can Google "guy who ate raw chicken for 100 days" and a bunch of stories come up about him. His name is John.

It's made me feel better about being less like a crazy person in my kitchen following my husband around critiquing how he's cross contaminating every surface in my life. I don't think he's careful enough. I stopped freaking out about it and we haven't gotten sick so it turns out he is careful enough, and I just have anxiety.

Some women say they enjoy it which I cannot really fathom. I did not care for it. As for why the woman would want to get pregnant though.. I mean that's about having a kid, not about being pregnant, isn't it?

And also not to be crass, but haven't you ever had sex that's so good in that moment you and your body genuinely want to get pregnant?

That's a crazy comparison. If I could rent a home for free from the library I would feel like I'd won the lottery. I absolutely would do that. Is renting from the library not free where you are?

I don't think it's possible to know what you'd do in this situation until you're in it. Perhaps you're not keen on having kids period so this was an easy decision for you though?

The pandemic did erode trust in institutions, so there's that, but also in general I would be very surprised to learn that today's youth is less or the same amount suspicious as youths in the past. Are those surveys actually anonymous? No way for the youth to know.

You know, I was not at all. I guess I figured if fast food wasn't on your direct path (or only very slightly out of the way) it wouldn't even be considered as an option.

I agree we're better off to cut out fast food, but..

How long are the drive thrus you get stuck in? I think the worst I've ever had was 20 minutes and it was because their registers were acting up. The simplest meal at home is definitely 20 minutes unless you're literally only eating plain ramen or cereal. I mean I guess you can make an egg in less than 20 minutes, but that doesn't count the time in the grocery store or dishes?

I put it inside the cave to the right of the entrance door. It was unaffected by the festival! Keep some farm totems in there for late night cave diving!

I did everything every day! A bit of fomo I guess. New outfit, picked the easier quest in skull cavern (successful 2/3 days) and took Willy's quest last (successful 1/3 days, because I ended up running out of time every day).

Hopefully next year's festival will be better because I'll be able to craft totems. This year I had to wait for the bus

Is anyone else having the issue where you're 30 comments deep into a post, you reply to a comment and when you submit it refreshes the whole post making you lose your spot in the comments?

Is there anything I can do to prevent this?

I'm on a Google Pixel if that's relevant.
