You have bested me twice this morning. I am here by retiring for a time to focus on myself.

This sends the election back to the house, resulting in a Trump win. You've probably heard of the "secret plan"? Not so secret now.

I mean yea, non consenting chemical alteration of someone's mental state is a messed up thing, accidental or not. For someone not expecting it, or not used to it, you will likely think you're sick. That could be distressing. It could be dangerous if that person were, say, headed off to work (nurse, doctor, crane operator, taxi driver, office worker on commute), or had been avoiding cannabis due to family history of psychosis, or has a damaged immune system and now fears they've caught something, we also feed pizza to kids.

Most probably nothing grim will come of this, and the jokes are fine I think, but we all should understand that this is serious.

Really interesting stuff. Going to give a close read for insight into what is driving the microbes to act this way.

Edit: "Atmospheric δ13CCH4 does not allow us to differentiate between anthropogenic microbial sources (livestock, landfills) and natural ones (wetlands), so further study is necessary to investigate the potential climate feedback hypothesis".

So, their simulations suggest its the microbes, but without more study we don't know if it's us causing it directly or natural sources (and they can't rule out anthropogenic influences on natural sources either). So, don't let anyone tell you this proves humans aren't driving climate change or methane emissions, because that's not what it says.

What if I want to get sick?

Anyone else would already have been sentenced. Lady Justice clearly peaked out from behind the blindfold.

Loss of life would be tragic, of course, awful. I think people could be put in the very real, very dangerous situation where they've been abandoned by the captured court, and the fascists are installing themselves on a perversion of the law, and the freedom of all Americans is at stake. Not just freedom, like we've seen with abortion bans, and increasingly violent rhetoric, it will be lives at stake.

When you've been put in that position what can you do? The courts won't care, the republicans won't care, and if they take over like this it will be permanent. Dark fucking days ahead.

And let's not pretend a coup in America wouldn't have ramifications abroad either.

Makes me laugh that they were able to easily find a democrat voter who holds no democratic organization position, but for a republican in Canada they had to go with the president of Republicans abroad. A republican who, of course, probably lied about being a democrat nearly 40 years ago, then expressed gross incompetence about both economy and democracy.

An actual coup like this would deserve an actual counter coup in response. Whatever form that takes.

Oh no, when there are multiple options for a Trumper "stupid fucking lie" is always the right one.

Available for free in ebook format. "The Birth of Psychological War explores the history, politics, and geography of United States psychological warfare in the 20th century against the backdrop of the contemporary 'post-truth era'. From its origins in the Second World War, to the United States' counterinsurgency campaigns in Vietnam, Whyte traces how the theory and practice of psychological warfare transformed the relationship between the home front and theatres of war. Whyte interrogates the broader political mythologies that animate popular conceptions of psychological war, such as its claim to make war more humane and less violent. On the contrary, The Birth of Psychological War demonstrates the role of psychological warfare in expanding the scope and scale of military violence amidst ostensible efforts to 'win hearts and minds'. While casting a critical eye on psychological warfare, Whyte establishes its continued significance for the contemporary student of international relations."

A snippet " The Topic Concentration chart above lends the clearest picture into the implied rationale behind the bans. Namely, the bans are not and have not been about the physical removal of a book from a shelf. The bans instead are meant to:

Virtue signal by people in positions of institutional power to voting-age parents interested in school choice, parental rights, and wedge social issues to the detriment of non-voting age students

Reject and exclude topics that challenge a perceived status quo from the public discourse (e.g. non-heteronormativity, non-cis identity, non-traditional gender roles, and non-Judeo-Christian books are targeted) "

Buying Advice (self.3dprinting)
submitted 2 years ago* (last edited 2 years ago) by FunderPants to c/[email protected]

Hi folks,

I've been watching too many video reviews and just want a little bit of advice before I make my purchase. I'm wanting to get into 3d printing with the most satisfying results possible for around $600 CAD .

I'm looking at the Ender 5 S1 , currently for $599 CAD on Amazon. It does what I want , I think, it gets nice and hot (300C) , can use lots of different materials, auto levels, uses.usb and wifi, is quick and has a cube frame.

I suspect I would be quite happy with it. But before I go and pull the trigger, is there anything else around this price range , say plus or minus $100 , that would be better? If so what advice can you give? What models should I investigate.
