That raises a few questions, though:

How do people solve problems then? How do clever writers exist? Or how do clever artists in general exist?

Thank you for your response!

Hmm... I would like to see "how others do/did it" sort of content, can you give me any suggestions for those?

[–] IJustWentPsycho@lemm.ee 2 points 1 week ago

Huh, I never thought about it, that way! Thanks for giving a new perspective on that.

I wasn't asking for advice, but that's still good advice! Thanks.

Hmm... I guess I mean more like deliberately coming up with ideas for more opened ended/creative stuff? Like coming up with an idea for how the main character of a story survives against the main villain's super nuke attack. Or coming up with ideas for what a certain painting represents.

I sometimes feel like I don't know how to deliberately come up with ideas at all, but I'm not sure if I'm actually like that (it's probably just insecurity or something, lol).

Do people like that actually exist, though? If so, why are they like that? And how do they learn to deliberately think of ideas?

I'm sorry about that. I'll try to make a question like that more specific next time.

EDIT: Thanks for the answers

By "venting" I mean "freely expressing bad feeling(s)".

Edit: thanks you for your answers!

Forgiveness... and thank you.

Since AskLemmy doesn't allow those kind of posts.

Edit: Thanks for the answers!

Honest question.

Widespread discrimination (and sometimes persecution) against atheists, queers, and women—are all often justified by religion in places such as the Middle East and many parts of Africa. Especially today when empathy, science, and logic are more prevalent than ever.

No. Could you clarify?

Tl:Dr if something has lasted a thousand years, it’s likely to last a good time longer.

But will that something stay the same "size" in, let's say, a thousand years?

It's just shocking to me how many people still strongly believe religions like Christianity and Islam when it has been more than a thousand years now.

I really like the upbeat sound of the song, and its theme of love. What other good love songs are like it in those terms?

Thanks for reading!

Lately, I've been having a hard time getting doing my hobbies because I've doom-scrolled to bad news, and devastating facts related to the Right (wingers), and a religious majority: Muslims.

I am not going to say EVERYTHING bad I have learned related to the majority of Muslim countries, but I'll say these two: Queers, and Apostates (of Islam), face very harsh stigma, and way-too-often get killed by Zealots. It has been like that for over 40 years.

I've also learned that the Right has gotten more power in some countries like Italy.

I have failed to find ANY positive information, and news about these topics, and because of that I am very worried that the world will become a Right-wing dystopia, and that the problems I have mentioned will never change for the better.

I'm trying to stay calm and hopeful about this, but I feel insecure about things getting better, and I keep stressing about it. I don't know how to help myself right now.

EDIT: forgot to mention that many people (online at least) are being pessimistic about it, which isn't helping me.

News often stress me out because of the negativity, but I want to stay informed.

I'm looking for some communities where I can ask for specific video game suggestions, but I'm having trouble doing that. Do you know any like that?

I want to read a recent(ish) fun fantasy series with an eighteen year-old male protagonist, that has immense worldbuilding and greatly-written characters. Any suggestions?
