I'm a guy, and I'm not that into women, but the big difference is that the men are directing the images to people who may not wish to see it. You are unlikely to end up on a womans onlyfans without actively seeking it out.
I don't think many people are actually upset over it. Its mostly just jokes about the implication of the term.

You do know anyone can post a medium article, right? That aside, the main difference is those people are posting it in a place where you expect to see tits. They don't usually dm a random person with a picture, unlike the people the post is referring to.
