Incorrect. It is safer to have the mirrors cover a wider range. Just adjust your mirrors correctly to not triple what they show.

Pointing all mirrors back produces the blind spot we have been discussing this whole time and makes it more unsafe because things can be in that blind spot. A pedestrian behind your car would be seen by the rear view mirror.

The arrangement you are advocating for is incorrect and should never be used due to it solely limiting view and increasing danger.

Listen to the engineers.

They are sideview mirrors. Most people do not have them where they should be and instead have three mirrors pointing to the rear, showing basically the same thing. Why turn your head away from the front when a quick look to the mirror is safer?

People probably said similar at the fall of every empire throughout history. People will endure and build anew. Life finds a way.

Yeah I've never understood this idea that all fetuses start as female. It's just scientifically incorrect.

I have been arguing this for years now and all I get is the "bUt tHeY're BEtTeR oFf sO ThEy arE prIviLeGeD"

OK, and look at all the people you're calling "privileged" who don't agree with you because of your characterization of them. If changing the word gets them on your side isn't that worth it?

Can you link what you're talking about?

Yeah people don't get this. Many of those people may agree with you and were simply lucky enough to get comfortable in life. They are certainly not the main contributors to inequality in our society.

Because habits have nothing to do with short term memory. It's me. I'm the neuroscientist.

That was certainly something...

What happened exactly?

We throw an annual flannel party in fall because we found a plaid shirt for our dog.

So I have an Astrolux MF01S with the extended battery tube and recently it wouldn't turn on after not having really used it in a bit due to moving. I put all the cells into my XTAR VC8 and one of the cells wasn't recognized by the charger. I used a multimeter and it's not reading any voltage from that cell (reads appropriate voltage from other cells). Is there anything to do or is this cell just dead for some reason? I believe they're the samsung 30Q's that are generally recommended.

Can anyone help me solve this? I have a Samsung Galaxy Watch (I believe it's the original, I got it in 2019) and ever since my phone (S23 Ultra) last updated it doesn't save my notification settings. I like to have it set so that my watch still notifies me while I am on my phone and that when my watch is connected to my phone it silences notifications on my phone. I can still set that, but when I turn it off at night it resets the settings so every morning I have to open the wearable app and redo my settings. Does anyone know how to fix this?

Can anyone help me figure out how to fix this watch? I had seen a video that said it was likely that Center screw being loose so it wouldn't wind, but even after tightening that it won't start ticking. Bought some simple tools and I'm willing to mess with it (I believe it was a cheap watch) I just have no clue what to do.

I'm looking at getting into photography and I'm trying to decide on what camera would be best for me. One of the primary things I'm interested in is nature photography when I'm out on hikes.

I spoke with someone I know into photography and he seemed to be pushing me towards full frame cameras. Given the prices for these cameras (I'm fine with used) it seems like I have to make a bit of a choice between older full frame and newer aps-c.

After doing some research here are the cameras I am currently considering:

Sony a7

Sony a7R II

Sony a6400 (or maybe a6500)

Nikon D800

Canon EOS 5D Mk III

Canon M50 Mk II

These are sort of organized by how interested in them I am. The pricing varies a bit for them, but with the cheaper ones I'd be able to get more lenses sooner and/or feel less bad about upgrading it in 2 years if I get really into it. So would the a7 or a7r be a good way to go to get a good balance of things or is something like a D800 still worth it today? Or is it just that worth it to have something like the a6400/6500 today to have newer features?
