They can see who you talk to, when you talk to them and the type of messages (text/images/videos).

If your speaking to someone at the same time they are googleing a new trampoline, Google can infer your likely to be interested in trampolines as well.

That's such fuzzy data that it really doesn't matter at all. Point is, my messages are encrypted, and Google can think I want a trampoline if they want to think that.

Plus you said Google wants everyones messaging data, but they literally aren't getting it. So no, that's not why they are pushing it hard.

Apple can also run their own RCS servers (my carrier does). They simply aren't supporting RCS because they LIKE that Android is shamed for having green bubbles. It would hurt Apple if their phones were more compatible with Android.

No, unfortunately. The guy seemed really mad. Calling the other guy a moron, idiot, and telling him to apologise. From what I could see from the comments, it seems like the one guy visited the angry guys website, and the guy threatened to use his IP to find out where he lived. Then used threats about how it's nice to sleep at night without fear, and that if you piss the wrong people off you'll know.

All because the guy was having Linux issues and said windows worked better for them. I only found the thread because I'm also having the same issues lol.

Thankfully the front page was not super graphic for me. Still cp, but it was a portal for logging into your account.

Scary part was the photos that were shown, the girls looked very abused. Obviously cp is abuse, but I mean they looked VERY abused and used. Clearly some trafficking shit.

I also immediately uninstalled Tor. I understand it has other uses, but I don't really need Tor anyway. I was just goofing around and found out.

I don't know, but that's not what was said. The comment I replied to said Google controlled everything, and that's false.

Just here to correct false claims.

Works perfectly for me. Do you have a Samsung device? Because they basically ignore it.

and ‘increases the demand for prostitution, child exploitation, and child pornography.’"

Idk, when I'm watching adult porn, I don't think to myself "wow, I wish these were children instead".

It's $2 per month. That includes the unlimited(?) bandwidth, too.

I can upload and delete and download as much as I want, as long as I have free space.

If you're interested, you can run your own NAS. I also do it, and just the power alone is $1 per DAY. Paired with the fact HDDs fail, so you can be expected to replace your drives every 3ish years. I just replaced one of mine, cost me $600. I'm sure another drive will be failing in the next year or so. Plus parity drives to help with any data loss, which essentially means paying for a really massive drive, but not getting to use any of it.

So ya. $2 for unlimited bandwidth, no power cost, no worrying about data loss, that's pretty good.

Snapchat has been this way for quite a long time on pixels.

YouTube link for those who prefer it. Sorry, piped just refuses to load videos for me. I don't have all day to sit around and troubleshoot a 50 second video.

Do you realize not everything is piratable?

Biggest issue with Tor is the 1Mbps speeds it gives me on my 1.5Gbps connection.

Also, I decided to go to an onion link for the first time last month, typed in "best onion websites" on Google, clicked the first Reddit link, found the top comment and typed in it first address.

Child porn.

I know onion addresses can be anything, but God damn. Comment is still up on Reddit, also. I believe it was posted a couple years ago.

So I definitely can understand where that idea of Tor comes from lol
