Website looks great, the ideas look great. But is this just ideas being thrown around or is there an actual business plan behind it?
Been using the infomaniak mail and drive for a bit now while switching away from gmail and gdrive. Its not as good but comes so close I really don't mind the switch!
Not yet paying for it, but planning to in the near future. 2 euros a month for 1TB storage is a steal compared to google prices

I leech from a family subscription from someone that's not gonna stop the subscription whether I use it or not. So I cost them money by using it, would never pay for it regardless.
Personally if I paid for spotify I'd just transfer over to Qubuz, they pay artists more AND have better music quality.
I normally use booking.com for about 3 times a year or so. Now just using it to browse and will book directly.

Exactly my problem why I'm not really getting into Lemmy either, same with mastodon. The whole decentralization standing in the middle of it all is just annoying.
Also yeah, Peertube did not even look like a competitor at all. Same with Threema with it costing 6 euros to use
They are too set on catering to the small minority that cares about the privacy/decentrilisation of it all while a normal user just cares about: Simply creating an account and using the service
