Some instances of Mastodon have a very large character limit (don't know if there are instances without limits).

It's a slightly different syntax for accessing it from kbin: go to all magazines tab and type [email protected] to access the the community.
Edit: on kbin we use the @ character instead of lemmy's ! Exclamation character:

My personal opinion is that it should be allowed for now, because we need to make the magazine look active and attract gw2 players. When it starts to gather people to the magazine and other posts become more frequent we could separate the guild recruitment magazine to its own :)

Just to answer the "what I've downvoted":
Might be a bug, but when you downvote it appears on your profile in the boost tab. Sadly removing the downbutton does not remove it from the boost section.
You can see that on my profile when I downvoted a bot. Now I have forever a sexting bot on my profile page...

I'm not a pre-migration keebinetter, but wanted to point out that kbin was published as a very early version of itself about a month ago by the user /u/ernest, Might not find many pre-migration keebinetters.

You could check out Calckey.social which has a limit of 4000 characters I believe. Maybe that is better for personal blog?
