You should be pedaling with the balls of your feet. Toe drag would only be an issue in a tight turn, but you can scrape your pedal doing that if you set your pedals wrong, so your toes don't matter much.

We need to run an exciting candidate. Their race doesn't matter. Elections these days are about getting your base excited and making the opponent's apathetic. AOC is exciting. While her being a minority woman will piss off far right voters, it won't be like it was with Hilary, who had decades of media attacks conditioning the right to absolutely despise her.

The dad looks like he's about to pelt his kid in the face with that football.

His are a distinctly different set of weird proportions.

This poster needs to fixed ASAP. It's extremely unclear what the protest is about or who the organizer is.

Yeah that touchscreen tablet convertible machine is what has me psyched. I'm not the target for it, and already own a 16, but I could see that thing selling well. I honestly think they came out with the desktop because they just kinda felt they needed a desktop.

It's extremely AI with a little Photoshop for seasoning.

Mostly. About 30% is/was cash, but most of that is/was for humanitarian stuff, like rehousing refugees. Also, the US has been watching its donated equipment and cash very closely and can tell you exactly how much is going missing. Even in the US there will be missing money and equipment, and the US routinely donates things to countries more corrupt than Ukraine, so it's not like they're completely inexperienced at this. Anyway, not much has gone missing, and as the war goes on Ukraine has become less corrupt as a result of necessity and US aid, especially around military stuff.

Here's the thing, we scientists need our cheerleaders. We spend our time getting good at doing science, so it's worth it to hire someone who is good at hyping and advocating for our work. Go listen to the recordings of James Webb trying to explain to JFK that we need to do a shit-ton of science before we can get to the moon. JFK just plain doesn't understand the magnitude of what he's asking for. He thinks we could do it in 6 months. This lady is our champion.

My first ever patch is going to be a no-shoot target from competitive action shooting. I was going to do a shoot target but it turns out I don't have any tan thread in my random assortment of threads.

I will be getting a proper color selection soon, and proper thread, but for now I'm getting started with what I have. I'm very excited to make my fist patch!!

What are you working on?

Hi hi

I'm stuck in bed and starting to work on embroidery. All of my threads are wound on a spool. They seem to be general purpose threads as far as I can tell. Right now I'm folding them into four parallel threads and using that, doubled up. (Each stich is eight threads.) Some work better than others.

I'm slowly running out and will need to replace them, but I don't know anything about thread. The normal embroidery-specific threads don't seem to come on spools, which I would greatly prefer. They also have different sizes and I have no idea what's that about.

Basically:

Help! What is a good general purpose brand that comes on a spool? It doesn't have to be embroidery specific, but should be adaptable to use in embroidery.

Thanks!

A Madison local is looking to provide firearms instruction classes to students who might not feel safe taking a normal firearms course. The classes are free to the students to make them as accessible as possible. If you can help out with operating expenses (classroom rent, study materials, etc.) you will help build proficiency and safety in a community traditionally under served in this area.

Thanks!

Hi all,

A fellow enthusiast started teaching firearms courses aimed at folks who aren't typically courted by the gun community. They've been doing this for free since the start of COVID and they are now looking to expand their operation and need to raise funds in order to keep it free. If you could chip in a few bucks to help with next year's expenses, you'll be making firearms proficiency more accessible to people who aren't welcome in other courses currently available.

Thanks!
