Anker. Still have cables I got in 2018. I’m not rough with my stuff though, so take it as you will.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 16 hours ago

Well, at first I was begrudgingly trying to find SOME way to not use it. I don’t want it, I don’t need it, and the game most definitely does not need it.

Then, after an hour of trying to find that avenue, I said, “Okay. I have a PSN account from way back on the PS3, so I’ll just fucking use that I guess.”

Cue to me finding my login stuff, trying to log in, getting a password reset prompt, click the reset password link, and wait for the email to arrive.

Dear reader, the email NEVER arrived, and then they would say that I had sent a request already and then I said fuck this, fuck Sony, I’ll just pirate the game.

Then, I was able to play the fucking game.

REAL graphics, no just fake frames.

Awh, they hurt themself in their own stupidity. :(

It's okay, Donnie boy, we all know how stupid you are. :')

Yeah! God forbid we keep Democracy running for a few more years while we all get our collective asses into gear and start tackling issues one at a time instead of being tugged to and fro from issue to issue!

One can dream, at least.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 19 hours ago

I am the exact same.

8 years, as I only started caring about politics when I saw Trump stamping his little feet over all of the progress we had made after Obama.

Now, I'm ready to watch this shit burn. Fuck it. I've got my one way ticket ready for when it truly goes to hell.

Looks tired and WEAK. SAD!!!

Don't forget they did the same exact play when Helldivers released. They didn't have it in at first, put it in, and took it back out.

This means they will continuously try and try to make this the norm. I see a lot of comments talking about buying the games now, and I just want to reiterate that they will try this exact same thing again after a few months to even a year or two. Don't get complacent.

Hmm... it's almost like you can't just one issue a problem away. It's almost like being a one issue idiot is the cause of what we are seeing right now.. Hmmm...

It's almost like progress takes time, while dismantling shit takes a week... HMMM....

It's almost like we, unfortunately, have to work for progress brick by brick.... HMMMMMMMMM....

It's almost like you and everyone like you being complacent about the takeover of the USA is why we are where we are now...... HMMMMMMMMMMM.....

It's almost like you and those like you will now never get what you say you want....

Who would've thought, right?

Put your best jester outfit on, because the new king of the USA has fools like you to thank for his reign. I'm sure he would clap for you to do more of your silly little dances. You know.. "for democracy".

[–] [email protected] 2 points 21 hours ago

Well, really, a group of unhinged and unchecked people.

[–] [email protected] 5 points 22 hours ago

Do it, ya little piggie.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 22 hours ago

Thank you!

I've played through them before way back on the Xbox 360, but Steam had a sale for them a couple of years ago for like $20, so I couldn't resist getting them for a superior platform.

The EA app is by and large the only thing that truly sucks about these games. I already beat Mass Effect 1 again, and damn is that game boring at times. The story is still great of course, but it definitely shows it's age! Mods have alleviated most of what I hated (looking at you MAKO...) and now I am about 75% through Mass Effect 2. I've beat ME3 before, but it has been so long that I'm hoping it isn't as bad as I remember.

I played Mass Effect 2 first at the time, because I was renting games from a local video rental place. Loved it to bits. It's crazy being able to play it with Alec Ryder's armor from Andromeda. Fits Shep to a T!

Recently came up on my discovery channel. The part near the end where the lyrics say "You're slaving for a burger with some cheese" really gave me some goosebumps.

EDITED: Change link to proper article instead of a stupid video, and changed associated text to match new URL.

Disgusting, in my opinion.

This quote popped up the other day, and I just wanted to share it. With everything going on in the world right now, and especially in my country personally, I can't help but wonder why I have always strove to be good and to do my best for not only myself, but everyone I have ever met. Maybe when I'm lying there dying from whatever is to come, I will fully regret being a "good" person.

Hello, all!

I have recently gotten into playing FromSoftware's older titles, namely King's Field and Shadow Tower: Abyss.

It's all thanks to a Youtuber called Majuular. I had no idea at all about these games, since at best I'm just a light and casual fan of Dark Souls 2/3, and Elden Ring. What I mainly enjoy about Dark Souls/Elden Ring is the exploration aspect, hence the casual.

I've got to say, if you haven't played King's Field IV: The Ancient City, or Shadow Tower: Abyss (Shadow Tower: Abyss is a Japan exclusive, but a fan translation patch is available!), and you enjoy romping through retro games with that certain something that only FromSoftware provides, please give these games a try!

To add context, after watching Majuular's video on King's Field, and his video on Shadow Tower's series, I started to look into more of From's older games, and found a game that is heavily inspired by King's Field called Lunacid. Well, I played the HELL out of Lunacid, and loved it so much, I started digging into finding other games like it! While this led me to find out that not a lot of games are in this niche of gaming, I did find a few! I can provide those to you if you so wish, just let me know!

I am happy to report that there is also a toolkit that can make similar games to King's Field, provided by FromSoftware all the way back in 2000, and lastly updated in 2001! This caused me to start looking for games that were made in this toolkit, and again, I did find some, but not a lot! I was also able to find a Remade demo for King's Field 2 by someone going by Rotmilldev, who did a wonderful job, and the only thing I'm disappointed by is that the demo is only the first part of the game!

Anyway, the real reason I am posting this is to get some discussions going on similar games, getting King's Field/Shadow Tower on people's radars that might incite some inspiration or interest, and to give any info I can to anyone interested in trying these forgotten gems!

As I am currently in King's Field IV right now, I can help anyone else who wants to spin it up for a try, and give some hints on settings or insights into why I'm falling in love with these games. If you are interested in it, I can also give you a .pnach file that will introduce better feeling controls for this game, at the cost of making it easier to fight any enemies due to the game being developed for a slower player character, which in turn means slower enemies to match.

Thanks for reading all this. I'm sorry to geek over it, but I would love to discuss it with anyone else interested! :)

“My dead father is “writing” me notes again A recent AI discovery resurrected my late father's handwriting—and I want anyone to use it.” - by Benj Edwards - Sep 12, 2024 5:00am CST

I find this use of AI, like with 99% of the “uses” for AI to be not only disturbing as all hell, but shows that we are creeping closer and closer to bizarro world.

EDIT: Pathfinder worked perfectly with the mods! I was even able to have it setup the exact same way by transferring the mods from my desktop mods folder to the decks folders. 👍

Hello, all!

I just wanted to post and say that dual booting with tiny11 has worked flawlessly so far, and I will update you all when I finish downloading Pathfinder and trying it out on the windows side. If it works well enough, I can boot back into SteamOS and delete it from there as I am wanting to play with a few mods and SteamOS breaks them due to UnityModManager being a windows only program.

If you have any questions, I can point you to where I found my answers, or I may even be able to provide some info to address any issues I was also running into during the process. 👍

Is there any way at all for me to preserve webpages like this so that if the website goes down or the webpage is abandoned I may still use the web page as intended? I guess I could take a chunk of time out of the day to recreate this in an excel sheet, but I wanted to ask here just in case there is a smarter way to do it.

Thank you!

Hello, all! Longtime lurker on Reddit and now on Lemmy. I’ve tried looking into getting out of the US as things aren’t looking too great as I’m sure many of you know, but wanted some tips from those of us who have gotten out. Where did you decide to move to, and what were the things you looked at when deciding to move there? How did you go about the process? What are some stories you can tell about the immigration process? Where can I start? How can I realistically make it happen? I hope this isn’t silly to you all, as it matters quite a lot to me and I’m genuinely interested in getting away from here for good. Thank you all for your time!
