That's because Isreal has been slowly co-opted by xenophobic right wing extramists under the guise of survival.

LG is one of the worst. Only TVs with ROKU are worse for privacy concerns. ROKU, LG and Samsung make Google look good when it comes to invasion of privacy.
I've been against the idea of smart TVs from day one. A good panel will easily have a longer life than whatever smart box they shoe horn into TVs now. That's reason enough to avoid that trap.
Mark my words on this: on top of the privacy invasion Future smart TVs will be designed to slow down to the point of being unusable well before their panels wear out to force upgrades and prevent third party repairs.
MAGA voters couldn't identify a pronoun in high school. How are they supposed to figure it out now?
As long as MAGA doesn't blame Trump or the corporations directly then those corporations will continue to raise prices because higher profits are in their best interest.
Henceforth all cities, states, towns and rivers will be called America. The United Americas of America.
We need to rename the Statue of Liberty to the Statue of America. In its current state it's just woke propaganda with a sign actively promoting illegal immigration. It's downright un-American.
Wait, video games use electricity?
Sadly, I believe this almost without question.

It really is too bad that commercial solutions for true privacy focused syncing and wireless backups will only get worse if they were ever good at all. I think of products like the Ring Doorbell where there's no reason the doorbell itself can't be it's own local server. The only reason to tie you to a cloud is to implement monthly fees while also harvesting your data. The idea of an open standard where multiple devices could connect to any cloud service (self hosted Next Cloud or commercial solution etc) will likely disappear with the direction we're going. It's a sad time for tech and an even more sad time for society worldwide.
I've never understood why it's so hard to re-purpose an old android phone as a TV streaming box. I have an old One Plus that would blow the Nvidia Shield out of the water but as far as I can tell nothing exists that make that possible. It has HDMI via the USB C port but no way to add a remote and use the TV interface. The ability to sleep when the TVs CEC signal sends a power off command would also be a requirement for me.
