Opensource.com doesn't usually present a comprehensive list. They usually just do a quick Google search and pop out a few names. Alternativeto.net would give you a better list.

Very cool, thanks!
Oh I misinterpreted your original comment. Didn't realize it was based on malice towards RMS. I see now. You're advocating social justice causes over free software causes. Edit: In other words you would take down a vaccine developer company if the lead scientist believed against trans conversion before adulthood, or something controversial like that. Instead of having a vaccine as long as they weren't in a position of power.
To not: you don't like his personality or personal views. You think this affects the FSF's ability to advocate for free software and also develop new thought around free software as technology advances.
To: you can separate the person from the quality of their work and output as it relates to free software advocacy and leading thought around FOSS software. You can hold your nose for the (arguably left-leaning wing's) FOSS community's advancement.
The logic you're using here; that if RMS is put back on in a minor position he will use it to acquire more power; if the same logic that people who dislike women, lgtbq, etc. use for denying those groups position of power. I just want to point out the hypocrisy that you're giving special treatment to one group over another. Which is why identity politics in general is so toxic.
Does anyone know who actually maintains WebDAV and CalDAV? I wanted to donate to them but couldn't find a foundation or source.
I love the researched call puts here.
Bill Maher was so on point with his recent China tirade.
Lol. I'll sign it anyway even if he does, which will be hilarious.
I don't disagree with you but I think I'm using a broader brush than you (the general aspect). Yes fair point OSI is focused on open source development method and not free, but to me the end goal is similar wrt giving software access to all and ending usurious monopolies.
I think OSI, EFF, FSFE, Platform Coop Movement, https://www.laquadrature.net/en/, and other all have similar goals to FSF, but with better and more modern presentation styles. Note I say similar because FSF is definitely one of a kind in their purity to the mission.
Geopolitics will kill the international growth of American tech firms. All these big tech forms are hiring Washington DC ex-state department staff for political advise, which is having the ironic effect of US government interference in censorship. This leads to international concern for using American social media and alternative seeking. Mastodon is well positioned here. Bit of lucky timing (easy to use app), bit of the right structure (open source, defederated).
I find a lot of my Brazilian friends use Telegram now.
