You should report back here once you get to Costa Del Sol! Im really curious if you will keep playing the game, or if you had to put it down.

After Kalm the game story really kicks into high gear. Stick it out at least until you hit Costa Del Sol after Junon. If you don't like the game at that point, its just not your cup of tea.

But, I have to say, out of all the final fantasy games I've played, this one has always been my favorite. The story just gets more and more complex as you go. Its got a lot of layers. But, if thats not what you're looking for, thats okay. Not liking the combat is problematic. Maybe try the active timer instead of the wait timer if you haven't already?

Hopefully, you stick it out proper. I really think there's a lot this game has to offer.

You uh definitely at least took a heat transfer class in college or you wouldn't know what to do with all this stuff. Hell, I took one 10 years ago, and I barely know what to do with this information anymore. Kudos to you for doing the napkin math

Focusing on the important issues...

Thank God there was an AI here to tell us something we could just look up.

I feel like getting fired from that job would be a blessing. But then again, I also feel like you have to be a shitty person to take that job in the first place.

Its weird to see them push back on this one when this stuff will get into the groundwater and other shit of even the billionaires. You'd think they at least care enough about themselves to ban stuff that will kill and harm them too.

If you have a main and a master branch in the same repo and you don't delete one at the very start of the project, God has abandoned the living bcz we're lost and he has forsaken all that is good in the world.

Sure, but its also weird to insinuate that being a government employee of any kind means having meetings about meetings to decide if youre going to have a meeting about doing something.

Not to get super off-topic,....but who is Adam and why should i care that he eats ass?

Do you think only the government works that way with the whole meetings thing? Corporate america is like that as well, maybe worse even. And actually, I work as a federal contractor doing software stuff, and I dont attend meetings about meetings. Some of us, actually, most of us do have real shit to get done when they go to work.

TLDR: Meetings about meetings about meetings is for beaurocrats, not scientists and engineers.

I have used linux in a past job (I did not set it up), so im not a total noob with linux. But I am far from an expert. I bought a tablet that had a flavor of linux on it and found myself woefully unprepared trying to navigate the tablet. I was planning to use it for DnD for pdf reading, but it apparently wasn't capable of that bcz it was a rather custom OS. With windows 10 support being dropped by Microsoft in the next few months, I want to transition my desktop to Linux, and I thought I'd get a headstart on that. I have a windows 11 laptop (and I hate it), but im kinda stuck with it for now. So, in the spirit of I am a noob who isn't quite a noob, what do ya'll recommend? p.s. I used Ubuntu for a bit way way back in high school

Edit: I do game dev with Unreal. Another user pointed out that may affect my choice of distro

If you're here today, go see Hawthorne Heights for me! We aren't able to make the second day of the festival, and its stacked with fantastic bands! Have fun ya'll!

Warped tour is here again, day 1! They only post the band schedule at the start of the festival day. Let's go!

The budget request for FY 2026 was released today. As expected, there is a 50% cut to science funding across all of NASA. If you care about science at all, call your congress representatives and let them know you do not support this!

Not sure if this is allowed. I don't see any actual news articles on this. The 2026 FY passback budget was released today, and as expected, there is a 50% cut to science funding for NASA. If you care about science at all (which it hope you do), call your congress representatives and let them know you don't support this!

Patrick Crusius had acknowledged he targeted Hispanics on Aug. 3, 2019, when he opened fire in the store crowded with weekend shoppers from the U.S. and Mexico in the border city of El Paso.

President Trump's sweeping cuts to the federal government are also threatening a key banking watchdog.

This was made in 5 weeks for the Retro Style Graphics Jam #1. I think its pretty solid for the short amount of time we had.

Don't think I need to summarize this one. This is bad news for everyone.

Don't think I need to summarize this one. This should be world news right now. This is bad news for everyone.
