I don't have faith in them, but this policy of raising interest rates is unsustainable. The US economy is over-leveraged on debt, by raising interest rates this debt becomes unpayable. So they can only go so far.

Another thing is that the reason for raising interest rates was proposed to combat inflation, which is already showing signs of slowing down. With oil going down and the new Inflation Act, it's bound slow down to probably 2%-3%. This makes a Fed pivot to lower interest rates likelier.

I am also expecting a crash to happen in 2023, and an even bigger rebound in stocks in 2024 because the Feds likely policy will be to print massive amounts of money to take us out of the recession. They're printing bigger and bigger amounts of money each time. So stocks will go higher simply because the dollar is being devalued. Of course this is just speculation, so we'll just have to wait and see what happens.

No, things are priced according to supply and demand market rules. This is quite inefficient and often leaves the most vulnerable at the mercy of speculators, since they can manipulate markets to serve their needs.

Look at the price of oil. Its production costs have remained stagnant in the past years, yet its price has suffered heavy fluctuations. This is what happens in the absence of economic planning.

Cryptobros present bitcoin as an hedge against inflation. The best hedge against inflation is Socialism, because things are priced according to their cost of production, not by how much profit someone will make.

I personally got into crypto so I could buy a house, without having to enslave myself to a bank for 40 fucking years!!!

I think a massive rebound will happen, especially when the Fed pivots. Inflation is already slowing down, once they start cutting interest rates the tune will change. Stocks have been going up, crypto will follow.

Are you mostly on Bitcoin and Ethereum or are you heavy on altcoins?

I also hate dealing with bureaucracy. But burying things beneath bureaucracy is actually a tactic companies use, so that employees don't bother to use the benefits they supposedly have.

Dude, wtf? Why such a wall of text for such a simple comment? Calm down.

We live in a hard world, people are constantly suffering a shit ton of everything, if people enjoy playing these kind of games because it provides a little bit of escapism then I am happy for them.

Yes that's exactly my point, if people weren't alienated by capitalism these mundane games would probably have no audience. At least that's my theory.

It's a weird trend that's been going on for some time, but people are starting to play games not because they are challenging or fun, but because they are mundane tasks of real life. I'm sure alienation has something to do with this.

It probably doesn't have AC, so it must be a hellish heat inside.

European communist parties go as far as condemning both NATO and Russia. So the PSL is far more lenient in this case.

No you are not, but I think it's wrong to support the invasion of Ukraine. Here are some points to consider:

  • Russia didn't try to create any consensus in the UN. They are part of the Group of Friends in Defense of the Charter of the United Nations, which claims to uphold the UN charter. Russia's invasion pretty much trashes this.
  • Russia is destroying Ukraine and creating a humanitarian disaster, this is despicable. Yes Ukraine is filled with Nazis, yes they use their own civilians as shields, but it's still Russian missiles and shells that are destroying Ukrainian infrastructure.
  • Honestly if they were going to invade they should've done it 2014. They allowed NATO to build up Ukraine's defenses for 8 years.
  • It allows NATO propagandists to create a bogeyman and justify it's existence. This makes anti-war groups job incredibly harder.

I think the PSL's position is the best. They condemn NATO for this escalation. They do not condemn Russia nor support them in this invasion.
