It would be easier and faster to just train it on the stuff you want it to output. There are hundreds of billions of weights in models like gpt, and no one really knows what any individual one does.

In my house the volume needs to be a nonsquare coprime to 10

I fucked up the inside of my lip at a show and it's making me fucking miserable. I hate having to swallow half a tube of medijel just to eat...

While I'm here, if you're a decent person and want to help protect trans rights in Australia after the Qld government decided to fuck over trans kids, come to the state library at 10am this Saturday.

Link here, should include events in other cities.

We have an RRFM, but I've never actually made it out to it before. The only interesting thing I know is that they run bike repair workshops as part of it

Tbh I mostly just survived because I was vegetarian back then, I went vegan some time after I got back. You can definitely do it, just use happy cow and plan well. Also you can live on kombu and pickled plum onigiri from 7/11 lol.

Also if you get out to Kobe, you should visit a place called "Vegan Cafe Kiu." One of the best meals I had on the entire trip and the coziest cafe I've ever been in, pretty sure it's just a house.

My accoustic guitar, I desperately hope, I love it way too much to ever be without it.

It was super hard to be vegan in Japan, but not impossible. If anyone goes to Osaka you need to check out OKO Takoyaki, it's one of the coolest places I've ever been to and their food is some of the best I had in Japan. If you look hard enough, you'll find my name on a couple of the walls

Without any context, this seems entirely reasonable. Basically just saying don't victim blame

I'm probably not exactly what you're looking for, but I went from considering suicide after I was diagnosed with an incurable disability that turned my life into an existence of pain, with next to no medical support or advice beyond "do yoga about it" to doing suprisingly well in life. I was also depressed before all of that, a shitty person and still trying to escape a really awful person in my life.

I turned it around gradually, but the two biggest things were getting the right meds (and being absurdly lucky to be one of the rare few who respond to it at all) and starting with a psychologist. Years of dealing with trauma and learning to accept and change the bad parts of myself eventually led to reading leftist theory, becoming an anarchist and meeting some incredible people. At some point in that journey I got on HRT and that did wonders for the worst of my depression too.

I'm at a point where I don't think I resemble the person I was two or three years ago one bit. I used to deal with all the bad shit going on in the world by just trying to ignore it and only caring about myself and those close to me, but actively trying to improve the world is infinitely better.

I absolutely agree, getting your Ls should involve a short course and test like it does for motorbikes. Just scanning the road and looking out for danger properly is a whole skill that people need to be taught.

I'd say the biggest thing we can really do for road safety is to just reduce car numbers, so of course more trains and a bunch of HSR between the cities. Going 130 can reduce your travel time by a tiny amount, but going 250-300 on one of the safest modes of travel is something else entirely.

Dr. Stone is amazing and really scratched a nerdy itch for me, haven't watched all of the anime but from what I have seen it's a solid adaptation of the manga

I basically listen to music constantly, and when I'm on holiday or riding my bike I generally use USB-C earbuds. I've had way too many wireless buds break and I'm sick of them, but these aren't fairing much better tbh.

Problem is that the cables always eventually stop working, often from my phone being in my pocket while I'm walking or cycling. I've been able to partly extend their life by keeping my phone in the thigh pocket on my cargo pants but it often just falls over and bends the cable more sharply than my hip pocket.

I'm looking for either a pair of highly durable earbuds either USB-C or 3.5mm with a USB-C DAC recommendation, or even better a DSP cable that I could use with IEMs with a 0.78mm connector.

I'm also open to any other suggestions at all.

Arrested for disobeying rule (lemmy.blahaj.zone)

Yep, I got arrested trying to block a coal ship in the world's largest coal port and I'm proud as fuck, give all your love to the protest organisers. I've talked about it a ton over in this thread (and a few others in similar communities). I was joined by a handful of other people, including a student doctor who is in this photo but hard to see, she's on my right in the shade. She's so damn brave and a huge inspiration.

This took place at the People's Blockade, an annual "protestival" organised by a group called Rising Tide.

I'm the (misgendered 😡) 27 year old in this article.

170 people then set a new record for the largest civil disobedience action in Australian history the following day, they're all incredibly brave people who have had enough.

We fought the government in court and won the right to protest against the fossil fuel corporations who are burning our children's futures. We also fight to secure the future jobs of the workers in these industries, demanding a 78% tax on current fossil fuel projects to help them in the transition to a renewable future.

It's been a long few days, I've just arrived home about half an hour ago. Goodnight.
