?? Why would I believe that, and why would I even lie about that?

And so, instead of asking yourself questions, you straight up jump to the conclusion you want to hear. This is what I'm criticizing here, and you're far from the only one acting that way.

Here's a translated part of the local conservative party's website:

spoilerThe Conservative Party of Quebec, for its part, supports improving care for vulnerable patients, but by offering solutions that do not come at the expense of other Quebecers:

Ensure that patients with serious illnesses who are waiting are given priority in getting a family doctor, without depriving other patients of their current services.

Increase the number of doctors by raising admissions to medical programs and more quickly recognizing foreign diplomas.

Decentralize hospital management by incorporating contributions from the private sector to tailor measures to the specific needs of each institution.

Moreover, the Conservative Party is proposing a modernization of the healthcare system based on the experiences of the world’s most developed and high-performing countries, particularly Germany, Switzerland, and the Netherlands. Recently, the PCQ presented a study based on the experiences and results achieved by these European countries in healthcare, which confirms the importance of increasing the number of healthcare professionals and adding private services to the public hospital system.

Now I am by no means saying this is the best way to do it, or that they are actively working on it, but to say they aren't trying to fix it is just a lie. You didn't even bother researching it, you immediately assumed the answer you wanted to hear was the correct one.

Both sides are similar in behavior, not in ideology. Right winger’s are treated just as bad here as leftists are treated on truth social. Both sides are somehow convinced their idea is the absolute truth and the other side is the devil itself.

Honestly I’m talking more about the people in the comments than the meme itself.

No, I don’t think kids should be shot, and healthcare should be a thing. But here anyway, the current healthcare system is broken, and some of the conservative ideas are trying to fix it, while the left is fine leaving it half working. While I’m still a leftist, I do recognize their point and am not calling them evil for it…

Lemmy being black or white like always. You can be a leftist, vote for the left and still recognize the flaws in your own parties and the good ideologies in the other…

I swear, the left usually calls itself open-minded, but as soon as someone on the right comes around, instead of trying to convince them with arguments, they are being called straight up evil russian bots. So what do they do, they go back to truth social, where they are well treated, and keep voting conservative.

Modern mineral wool is actually way better than that. I recently bought and installed some that was advertised as “really soft” and without gloves or masks, at the end of the day I couldn’t feel an itch. Of course good airflow during installation always makes a huge difference. I would 100% wear a mask in an attic though.

Probably why. Here in canada, same as this guy, literally have to mow it every week or it gets too long and the mower stops working well.

You probably don’t have a lot of trees or the smell would keep you up at night.

By far the best option. Putting them in bags takes forever, though they can then be reused for compost and the likes.

Not sure what the other commenter is talking about though. Unless they have like a single tree or something, I fail to see how the grass wouldn’t rot. There’s always this one guy in town who doesn’t clean it up and it smells awful down the street.

I recently saw the new 550 drivers fixing a lot of wayland issues as well as KDE 6 being a lot better on wayland and decided, you know what, let me try it.

The first question was, which WM do I use? Initially I wanted to try DWL or Sway, since I currently use DWM on Xorg and like it quite much. However, I was somehow taken in by the Hyprland hype and man their website is flashy. So, okay I'll try that.

From there, I didn't last an hour. First of all, hyprland was using 20% of a cpu core and 200Mb permanently, on idle, without blur, shadows or animations enabled. This is absolutely insane, especially since, without these things, it was functionally the same as my DWM setup, which barely uses 0.5% and 9mb of RAM. Now I understand that Xorg included more things and the compositor devs or wlroots have to write more code on their own, but 20% is way too insane for me to even consider the switch. Now I honestly believe that this is an NVIDIA thing, as googling around people seemed to say it was pretty lightweight with some features disabled.

The second issue I noticed was ultimately the deal breaker. I could have tried Sway or DWL next and maybe one of those would have been fine. However, it seems like NVIDIA does not support hardware cursor on wayland. It's listed as an issue under wlroots, hyprland and sway. Now I will admit I do play video games sometimes and using some floaty unresponsive software cursor is out of the question when I've already experienced the bliss that is a hardware cursor. I don't know when this will be added, but according to a phoronix post, someone added the code to the nvidia driver and it does work on KDE now, so maybe it will be added to wlroots and the likes soon.

That's it, just wanted to talk about it a little since I was somewhat disappointed. I have wanted to move to wayland for a long time, it seems like I will still have to wait. One thing's for sure, I'm never buying an NVIDIA card again.
