I never used this site but I DEFINITELY remember seeing a lot of people on Reddit suggest this site last summer when Reddit had the API changes and lots of subs went on strike or whatever. The name is absolutely a coincidence and it has nothing to do with our community or TBP.

Yes Im thinking this might be the case. There were only a few of us there and zero reference to any names, the previous community, literally nothing alluding to it being a replacement because it wasn't

I am using the Thunder app and it made navigating this new (to me) site significantly easier. Looks pretty similar to reddit on this app

Yeah I kept my name basically the same. gonna have to learn everyone's new names now lol I keep thinking everyone on here are a bunch of strangers but I'm guessing a lot of people decided to use different names

Definitely no worse than other snarks. Imo, it was honestly the best snark I've seen personally. Especially after rules were changed. There was minimal actual bullying, zero actual harassment. Mods were on top of the rare comments that did break the rules. I hardly EVER saw anything that actually violated sitewide TOS.
I've seen other snarks that are actually bullying. Where appearance is made fun of, where comments are hateful and contain some form of an -ism, where some comments are downright vile. There was none of that on our sub really and the rare times it did happen, it was quickly addressed by our mods. our sub was really the most tame snark I have personally seen. Most of the comments about her appearance were not bullying but instead observations about her editing and dishonesty.

Personally, I do find the timing a bit suspicious. This happened right after several posts that also mentioned Knix being complicit over the weekend and also within a day of a post showing a bunch of negative Glassdoor reviews. I don't know if knix had actual involvement here.
I also think it's possible that we just received an influx of reports and Reddit canned us as a result. However, I also really don't believe we were actually in violation of reddit TOS. So I hope the mods are able to have luck winning an appeal.
I feel you and honestly same. I can't bring myself to even hate watch her right now. I'm really upset by all this. Our community has been very valuable for me. I'm glad to have this now, and I hope that all our best members make it over here

I am in the US and it's working just fine for me! I really hated the interface initially and felt lost and confused, but I downloaded the Thunder app and it made it a lot easier to navigate.
