F-Droid is like the play store, but with all FOSS apps. You have to side load it, and then it essentially side loads all the apps you want from it's store. Its pretty neat!

She cares about the environment man! And and she like, stood in front of an oil port!! I can't think of anything more extreme leftist terrorist than that

I actually really like Connect for everything else. I'm using LiftOff at the moment for this reason alone, but as soon as there's an option to view the Instances I'll be right back.

Absolutely! I've made adaptors and replacement bits for my and my brothers 90's cars. The kind of little plastic bits and clips that aren't nearly crucial enough for anyone to make anymore. That and custom desk/cabinet organizers are the kind of thing that you can only reasonably accomplish with a 3D printer.

There are certainly other ways that you can just save money, but I've found the most satisfying thing is when you find a niche like this that simply could not be done without a printer. I don't even have anthing crazy expensive, I did most of my printing on an Anet A8 and only recently "splurged" by getting a prusa mini.

I've always wondered if an xcom style game from the perspective of the federation troops would be cool. Federation Force was very cartoony, which is fine, but the metroid universe is such a gritty horrifying experience for anyone who isnt Samus and I'd love to see a perspective that reflects that. Plus, it would be cool to struggle with your troops through the whole game and then at somepoint have Samus join for a brief sequence and put everything else to shame.

Man fusion must have been such an interesting one to start with! There's so much more narrative stuff happening in that one than most of the series. I started with with Prime 2 way back in the day. Had no idea what I was getting into, I just wanted it because my friend had it and we played the multiplayer a lot. The single player scared the bajeebes out of me, but I pushed through cuz I wanted to relate to him. Turns out, he never even played the campaign because he was also terrified lol. But hey, now it's my favorite game series so I'm glad for it.

Fire emblem and advance wars are also great picks!

Gotta be honest, I'm also on FreeCAD and OpenSCAD. Blender is also good, but its hard to make size accurate AND parametric parts. If you are interested in Blender tho, the plugin "CAD Sketcher" is an absolute must for 3D printing. It's still not true CAD, but it does help Blender meet a halfway point between art and CAD workflows.

Sure there are if you're willing to go a bit abstract. Anything you experience for the first time, you'll never get the "first time" experience again. Sure you can do the activity again, but I don't think anyones gonna deny that a "first time" for anything is fundamentally different. And on that note, you'll never have another 10th birthday.

I'm not sure who would've downvoted you there, but yeah I live in an already car dominated city with 90+ degree humid weather for months straight. I DO have a bycicle but it's just not a feasible form of travel for me.

This is why its good that there are a lot of us privacy focused individuals. If you or I were the only faint fingerprints, it would still be easy to pick us out, but thankfully there are whole privacy communities like this.
