Belichick has a hard ass coaching style. Players hate it, but will deal with it when the coach has earned their respect. You do it his way, and you get results.
His system also looks for very specific traits in its players. Stars on the Patriots tend to not play well on other teams.
Now coaches under Belichik learn his system, and his coaching style. They try to bring the Patriot way elsewhere. The roster isn't built for it, and the players are not happy.
People in here have very short term memories. However a team or player is playing this year is how they have always been.
