It's up to you. I like levelling lots of alts so FFXIV allowing me to have everything on one character is great. I do encourage trying out different roles so you get a feel of what they're capable of.

Iirc the reason why they don't bury the high-voltage transmission lines are:

  • Heat dissipation because those lines get hot with all the power flowing through it.
  • Following on from the above, the wires are uninsulated because finding an insulation material that doesn't melt gets very expensive.
  • Harder to maintain because it's harder to pinpoint faults and any maintenance requires digging something up.
  • Following on from the above, some dickhead not calling before digging and cutting into a high-voltage line is going to have a Very Bad Day.

How? Because a bunch of good old boys needed a payday.

Does the happy dance bear a resemblance to The Robot?

I think the instances that cater to a niche have been largely spared the fediverse breakdown. ttrpg.network seems to be chugging along fine. Probably wasn't a good idea to attempt to recreate reddit on a single instance. Would've been smarter to have lots of smaller instances catering to broad topics of interest.

If it ever comes down to that. I'm not adverse to obvious and non-intrusive ads. It's the fake shit that pretends to be organic that pisses me off. I feel it pollutes the entire social media experience with distrust.

If it makes you feel better, busses have more mass so are inherently safer. The no seatbelts thing is so you don't have to fiddle with it in a panic and delay evacuating the bus.

Remember kids, coal is your friend, Labor wants to steal your weekend, clean coal is real and climate change is a myth.

Don't you just love it when hammering the servers more fixes things?
