Getting ready for the literal and figurative shit storm that is potty training. I would love to hear some experiences-

What method did you use? Was it from a book or a parenting blog? How long did it take? What would you do differently? What did you do right?

I plan to record evidence of our triumph so I can show her when she get sassy and says I don't do anything for her. Welp kid, you'd literally be an animal defecating on the floor! Let's watch exhibit A, shall we?

(I'm not really recording my child, I feel like I have to say this for the former FBI agents who recently have so much time on their hands. I was being entirely facetious...which sounds like feces)

Can you bring extended family to help with child care? It is a huge difference when grandma or grandpa can hang back for an afternoon with your toddler. Gives you some mental breathing room.

I have a vacation with our toddler planned for after she turns 3. I have already frontloaded this emotionally as a "work vacation". I will still enjoy myself! However, I know going in, there will be no downtime and to focus on things my husband and I will enjoy with our daughter. Rather than making it the toddler show when she will probably remember at best 1 thing from this vacation.

My almost 3 yr old girl is the same. I joked to my husband thet she will be the biggest test of our home owners ins.

I signed her up from the time she was 1.5 yrs old, for my townships gymnastics tot class.

They literally teach her how to fall, how to land, form etc. She still tries to kill herself, but she has great form.
