I'm in favour of defedding. It's just Reddit spam that's not needed here. If people find interesting things over on Reddit that also belong here, that's one thing, but there's no reason to make a 1:1 copy. Let Lemmy be Lemmy and let Reddit be Reddit. They don't have to be the same thing.

I'm sure there's an argument to be made about not buying things you can't afford, but looking at the graph in that article, people are going to get fucked on mortgage renewals. Anyone that locked in for 3/4/5 years are going to be renewing between now and the next couple of years and going from BOC rate of 0.25% to 5% or more is going to hurt.

Someone I know is looking at renewing their mortgage in the next couple of months and they're already looking at a jump from 3% to >6%.

I am so unimpressed that Daniele/Yohan are back. I thought we were rid of them after last season but looks like they'll be back next episode.

Mary and Brandan are a new and interesting brand of toxic. My god.

TOW was on tonight! Apparently it's showing in the Monday slot. We're getting BT90 and TOW at the same time. I don't know if I can handle all this trash at once 😂

Late-ish season introduction of a new couple usually means they're lacking footage. Who's relationship do you think is getting cut short?

EDIT: Can I throw my thoughts about TOW in here too? Brandan and Mary are TOXIC. His mother and sister are 100% correct in their criticisms. Also Yohan and Daniele are back....I might have to legitimately fast forward through their parts 🤮

Go for it man! I had never moderated over on Reddit but I wanted to contribute on Lemmy so I started up some communities. Everyone has behaved themselves so far and people have been pretty positive about things. Eventually it might get overwhelming (if Lemmy really takes off), but there's always the option of adding more mods to help.

I'm really digging the realistic take on the yellow suit. I think it works well.

Also, I hope there's going to be a scene where he rips the sleeves off. Long sleeved Logan feels wrong 😂

I was trying a couple of Lemmy apps and hard committed to Connect today! Gotta say, it's the closest thing I've seen to RIF so far!

I didn't want to start a Feature Request thread incase someone has already asked for it, so I'll just ask here. Has anyone asked about getting a link confirmation prompt? It was one of the things I really liked about RIF. When you clicked a hyperlink in a comment, instead of immediately going to the link, a small prompt would come up with the URL and Go/Back buttons. It prevented people hiding malicious or misleading links in a hyperlink. For example, like this: https://i.imgur.com/T9AAccX.jpeg
