Ah yes, because the only way we could possibly admire the achievements of the Chinese state is because we were being paid to do so. Fuck off, creep.
TreadOnMe
Look, I've kept my stuff to our instance. I'm doing my part! TM
My thing is that I basically use Hexbear as a news aggregator, I don't really find much value in re-articulating my views, other than as a writing exercise, it's mostly a compulsive habit at this point. So I can take or leave federation, it doesn't really change that much, other than I won't lurk as much and will post more, which might not be a good thing.
What really sucks is that we are only a camera away from the very edgy jokes of the "Immigration Grand-Prix" being real.
As disorganized as we are, the general consensus is that we literally do not care that they de federated from us. Most of us think it is funny that they fear us that much. Hell, there is still a vocal contingent that thinks that federating at all was a mistake.
As well, pretty much the only instance that wasn't DDoSed was lemmygrad, but also, it doesn't really matter? This kinda stuff just happens sometimes when activity picks up and people go a little crazy? Trying to witch-hunt over this stuff is a sign of internet noobage, this kind of shit just happens for any and no reason and will likely continue to happen for any and no reason. Hopefully not too much, as I enjoy wasting my time here, but it really doesn't matter.
I guess? It's kinda already dead now, but at least it experienced a life outside the internet unlike vapor-wave.
I mean, there are one or two songs that are good, but her big thing was kinda pre-staging the actually great artists that would come out afterwards. But even then, stuff like Crystal Castles (specifically Alice Gao), A.G. Cook (P.C. Music production in general), and a whole other host of artists were far more directly responsible for the pre-staging the huge take off of what would be called 'hyper-pop'.
Grimes is fine, maybe even above average, but definitely overblown.
Fair enough, maybe I'm just a big guy.
Maybe you do, maybe you don't to me, I have a very particular body type I go for, and I think most non-athletes who are dieting are pretty damn emaciated, but that is a me body dysmorphia problem, so I generally try to purely focus on myself and what I want from my body.
Look, I've known people who are 6'3", 170 and muscular but they are tall, skinny build, guys. Strong guys for sure, but I'm a wide farmer boy body, which looks similar to what Elon's build could look like if he was working out, and if I try to cut too much my ribs are first thing I start to see. Like, when I can see hip bones I feel I've gone too far and that is around 176. Which is absolutely murder to maintain anyways, particularly as I get older.
You're probably right, but this whole thing screams bullshit to me.
How the hell is Musk 6'1", 187 and still looks like a tub of raw dough? Like, I'm not trying to be sizest here, it's just that I am 6'1" and if I was 187, I would be practically emaciated and you could see basically all of my muscles to the point were even I and my body dysmorphia would find it off-putting.
These numbers have to be complete and utter horseshit, at least for Musk.
They would have put Wolf Warrior on.
China is a capitalist country. I don't disagree with that. However, if you get your head out of your ass and actually read some theory, you will realize that the form of capitalism that is being practiced in China is actually a left-liberal classical capitalism, fundementally grounded in principles of industrial growth discussed by Adam Smith, David Ricardo and Karl Marx, that, if it overtakes the U.S. as global hegemon, actually has the potential to transition into a socialist society.
Their poverty reduction, infrastructure building, and general wheeling and dealing with underdeveloped countries is laudable and far outstrips the history and ability of the West, and while I don't really like their foreign policy stances, particularly on MLM issues, refusing to actually analyze what is going on there and what has the potential to go on there is a sure sign of the typical, unread, left-com martyrdom complex where you have the audacity to criticize the projects of others without ever having done anything particularly productive or revolutionary yourself.
